Is my GPU fried?

I have a Sager NP9150 with an AMD7970M. Last night, my screen blacked out while I was watching a video, audio was still playing just the screen. I restarted the laptop but it wouldn't get pass the windows logo screen. Tried several times but windows doesn't boot. So this is what I did:

-formatted the laptop
-installed a fresh copy of windows 7
-boot up
-install drivers(except AMD 7970M)
-reboot and everything works fine
-install AMD 7970M driver, installation stuck at a black screen with a blinking underscore
-restart, stuck at windows boot logo
-restore back to before AMD drivers were installed
-boot up fine

I've tried this like 4 times now and most of the time it gets stuck at windows boot logo, and once it just BSOD during the windows boot logo screen. Does this mean that my GPU is fried? Are there any ways to confirm this before I buy a replacement GPU?

xperia z3 screen replacement

I've just cracked my sony xperia z3 screen and the upper half of the screen is no long responsive. Does anyone know anywhere k can go to to get my screen replaced?

GPU Throttle Due to Heat?

Lately I've been experiencing low fps and low 3D mark 11 score on my sager 9150 with a 7970M in it. Suspecting a serious heat issue, I underclocked my GPU to prevent damage and ran Dota 2 on my in it. Running afterburner, this is what it showed.

This pretty much confirms that I its throttling due to temperature right? One more thing, the fps issue wasn't this bad before I itchy hands open the heat sink to remove some dust that was stuck without repasting thermal compound.

Sager9150 7970M Benchmark Score

Hey guys, i use to get about P6000 in 3D mark 11 some time ago. Recently, I updated 3D mark 11 and did a benchmark test and got about P4800. The graphics score is really low. Is it because I its a different version of 3D mark 11 or something is wrong with my hardware? Here's the score: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/8729663

EDIT: One more thing, why is my core clock only 300MHz and memory 150MHz when based on MSI afterburner its 850/1200.

EDIT1: While runnign 3D Mark benchmark, the GPU goes up to 100 degrees, its this normal?

Laptop Backpack Damaging?

Just wanna get some opinion from you guys. After getting home from a flight with a cracked laptop screen few months back, I've become slightly overprotective for my new laptop. Since I travel quite often, I've decided to use a backpack instead of a sling bag cause it really hurts my arm carrying this 3kg laptop. So based on your experience, do you think that the pressure put onto the laptop when you're carrying a backpack will do some damage to it?

4GB Hybrid SSD

I recently purchased a Sager 9150 with a 500GB HDD with a hybrid 4GB SSD. Its probably a mistake to get it but I was wondering how can I utilize it? I read about boot caching, how does that work? Any help would be much appreciated guys!

Gaming Laptop In December

I'm interested in getting an Asus G74SX for gaming purpose but when I checked prices on Amazon, this model, G74SX-DH71G74SX-DH71 had similar specs but with 12 GB of RAM. Can anyone please explain, perhaps there are other differences? Or if you could give me any other better suggestions for a gaming laptop I would greatly appreciate it. Also, please note that I'm a Malaysian living in Indonesia, so I could get the laptops from either countries, but I assume that Malaysian laptops have better prices.

EDIT: Also, I have a budget of about RM5k. Min. requirement must be able to play new games, e.g. Diablo III at at least med-high settings

External Graphic Card?

So I have a Toshiba Portege M900 laptop, with these specs:

Processor 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P8700
Memory 4GB
Hard drive 320GB 5,400rpm
Chipset Intel PM45
Graphics GeForce G 310M
Operating system Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)

I can't seem to run many games smoothly due to the graphic card. Is it possible to make a graphic card adapter for this laptop? I read through this guide, but I was thinking whether it is obselete. Any help would be much appreciated.

My ndsl touch screen has 2 scratches because of the stylus I used. I called the shop and the dealer said that the stylus cannot do any scratch to the ds because it is plastic, so it isn't covered i the waranty, so pathetic right? Anyway, isn't there any upper layer in the ds screens?
