SOS. Got rear ended by a car with no insurance

Hi all, I just got rear ended by a car today at the traffic light (it’s red light…) and after jotting his car plate and phone number and done police report, the call man mentioned the driver don’t have car insurance (just expired recently).

Therefore I’m unable to claim from his insurance and he’s not picking up the phone call - after texting he only replied “try to sue me”.

How do I solve this? Feels unfair that he can run away and pretend nothing happen when my car is badly damaged and unable to claim. Police and call man just ask me settle myself.

1) how to find out personal info from no. plate?
2) how to sue this person if he’s not picking up?
3) should I go back to make another police report?

Appreciate your help guys… tq tq.

Post-NICU: How to take care of premature babies?

Hi all daddy and mommy,

Need some help and advice if you can share similar experience. My premature baby is now in NICU @ Tunku Azizah Hospital aka HKL.

According to the nurse, once the baby discharge from NICU, they will be sent to “the ward” for further monitoring in terms of weight gain, temperature and etc.

During this “ward” journey, the mom is advised to stay at the govt hospital together with the baby so that nurse can teach first time mommy how to breastfeed, change diapers, and check on premature baby conditions as they’re more fragile compared to full term.

The “ward” stay duration will depend on how baby’s condition, and the nurse will guide and teach mommy until they can “graduate”.

Any parents been through this? Want to know how’s the arrangement like - Do you need to stay in hospital throughout the journey? Or can it be like go in the morning and back at night? Is there a private room we can book for the baby + mother? How do you pump for milk storage if it’s gonna be a shared/communal area?

Much appreciated if you can share your premature baby experience. Helpful to prep mentally and physically.

Enabling 5Ghz WiFi on Desktop PC - Possible?

Hi all sifus, this could sound like a very noob question but pls bear with me haha.

I've previously been using LAN cable to connect from Fibre modem (100mbps package) to ensure smooth, no latency gaming (Dota 2).

Recently moved house so now I'm on Maxis WiFi 6 router (300mbps package) with mesh and it's pulled to my room - technically I can still do LAN cable (no so cantiks liao the wires) but wanted to see if I can connect to 5Ghz wireless - and whether it'll be smoother.

I checked my computer system, the WiFi adapter I bought 6 years ago can only connect to 2.4Ghz.

If I use WiFi dongles like these on Shopee, is it possible to connect to 5Ghz and hopefully get a smooth gaming experience?

Just wanted to get some opinions before burning RM40 on this dongle.

Smart Door/Digital Lock Discussion

Hi all, not sure if this thread have been created before as I can’t seem to find it.

Any home owners have installed smart door/digital lock for your unit? Want to ask for some advice & opinion on brands.

I’m looking to install a combo for my grill door + main door for my condo. I think security should be ok as long as I stick with fingerprint lock and not access card (otherwise if I drop the card then gg aredi).

Looking between these 2 brands after some budget survey:
1. Avant S10 Stainless Steel Combo. RM2299 with 3 years warranty (promo offer)
2. Abrain 304 Stainless Steel Combo. RM2268 with 3 years warranty (promo offer)

Both comes with free installation. Abrain only got showroom in Penang so I can’t test and feel the build quality.

I checked our Avant showroom and the S10 build quality is quite sturdy. Fingerprint sensor seems ok enough.

Good thing is if I buy Avant smart switches I can combo it with lights; close door liao then lights auto off haha.

I checked Bosch, Philips and Samsung but their pricing is quite kaw - just for main door already RM2K plus so it’s kinda out of my range.

Also checked out Aqara but apparently they’re removing/discontinuing partnership with Xiaomi?

Thoughts on the above? Would be nice if got owner here who have purchased these before to share your opinion after using it for few months.

TL;DR version: My Windows 10 seems to be corrupted and everything I try also cannot enter back Windows (can't even enter Safe Mode). I want to reformat my Windows but I want to save my files inside my C:/ drive first which is a SSD. How can I do so?

Flashing Oppo R9 China OS to International OS

Hi guys,

My dad recently bought an Oppo R9 / F1 Plus from China. Currently it's on Color OS without Google Play Store, and I can't read a single Chinese so it comes with a lot of bloatware apps.

I want to flash it to an international OS, but after doing much research online, doesn't seem to be able to find the proper guide on how I can do it.

I'm some experience of fastbooting, but I'm unable to find the International OS firmware. Can anyone advice me on the process to flash this phone?

This is what I know:
1. Download International OS
2. Unlock the bootloader
3. Install TWRP recovery
4. Root the phone
5. Fastboot the International OS
