Car problems after didn't drive for 3months

Hi Guys,

I have a problem. My car an Iswara was acting funny after i start it for the 1st time after leaving it for 3 months (i was in overseas and my parents got start it once a while ). The engine kept on dying when it was idled and the rpm would go down to 0. It was ok when the car was moving but the ride was not smooth and frequently the engine would choke so seriously , I felt like riding a horse. After a few days the car wouldnt even start altogether so i consulted a mechanic from a workshop.

He came and have a look and concluded that it was due to the engine lack of fuel that made it to behave like a wild horse. It seems that the fuel filter is clogged up with dirt and he added that the fuel tank might be corroded with rust and other impurities and i might need to change the fuel tank. But he changed the fuel filter for me first and asked me to come back if the problem persist.

Well it was ok after the fuel filter is changed. the ride was not as smooth as before but at least the engine wont dead as often when it is idling. I went to another shop to tune the rpm meter but the small problem still persist but iguess i can live with that coz it didnt happen quite often. But up till today, the car has completely stall. The engine is choking like before, dead and wont start. I tried to start it but there wasnt any click sound. The light of my stereo was on and off a few times before the engine was dead.

Could this due to the battery? I have changed the battery early this year. Or could this due to the petrol tank being contaminated? How much do is the market price for that? Anyone experieced this before?

Sifu here pls help or I really need to do a complete engine checkup. Anyone knows any good mechanic in peanng that do a great job in total car checkup?

Internet Connection problem or Router problem

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Yes, many times. Tried many things incl. reset connection port. They told me the connection from their side is ok.

Personal equipment
Modem: Trendnet
Router: TRendnet
Firewall used: Router firewall

Problem details
First occurence of problem: 3 days ago...
Problem frequency: till now still cannot connect
Problem description:
Okay i encountered this 3 days ago..i am not sure wther its related to torrent dwl.. but i am connected to wireless router shared by 3 ppl in my house. I myself is not a regular torrent dwler but my friend is. It hapened 3 days ago, all of the sudden the connection to streaymx is gone.

Thinking that this might be a temporary thing i waited half hr, then i accessed to the router interface to check what is the problem. I can still access to the router without any problem but the problem is the router couldnt connect to the ppoe server any more. i tried to connect many time but to no avail. The ADSL light is ok, the telephone line dial tone is ok just tht the router coulnt connect.

I called ppl at TM net asking them what was the problem and as usual they couldnt help me much but they told me the connection at their side is ok and they have reset the my connection port. Btw i have also checked if i paid the bills just to make sure that my line is not cut. i also tried to disable the router feature to enable modem feature only and manual dial it thru my comp and it gave error 678. I tried to hard reset the router and did all the configuration again but still it didnt work. This thing happened to me before last month but it wasnt till this long , i just soft reboot the router and it is ok already.

anyone got this problem before? is this a router problem ?..i am at loss here and i am not willing to get a new router if this problem is caused by torrents...Would appreciate if anyone can help ( I dont have TM modem to check if i am able to dial ) Thanks in advance.

Service Interruption from 5thSept 07 till now

Anyone experiencing connection problem ( cant connect to Streamyx) these few days? Starting from Wed (5 Sept 2007) till today?

I Called Streamyx and they said they say there are service interuption in perak and affected to some areas in Penang. I am currently staying in Penang but my neighbour which staying a few meters away (same apartment block) is having no problem with the conenction. So i am wondering if anyone else experiencing the Disconection or the problem comes from my side??

Would appreciate if anyone can give some feedback or help so that i know that i am not alone. Thanks.

McAfee Security Centre 7

I just bought a dell inspiron 6400 which comes with McAfee security centry last week. Upon the first turn on the comp prompted me to upgrade my Mcafee Anti software to new patch / version. After upgrading everything is fine except for web browsing which has become very very slow!!! like those in dial up days or worse.

I have disabled the phishing option but it's still the same. Even reinstalled the whole software but it still gave the same result. So i totally remove the prgram completely and gonna call dell tmrw. No point buying the software if it totally screw up my system.

JUst wanna know if anyone using McAfee having this problem?

Latency in Penang

Hi all,

I am connecting to streamyx with ip starting with 219.95.2xx.1xx. Previously it hasnt been giving me latency issues with yellow bar to green bar of 300ms to 600ms. but over the end of last week and beginning of this week I have been experiencing latency issue with constant 1k ms and beyond.

I have tried reconnecting for different ip but i notice that it is impossible for me to conenct to other ip thats starts with different digit beside 219. anyone experiencing this recently in penang? or do you all can play better with other ip. If yes whcih ip is that? This is giving endless of frusfrating nights without WoW. sigh...
