I am seeing many retailers like Nissan, Watsons, La senza offering immediate 6% GST rebate starting in May.

How do they offer rebate like this? Wont they lose money rebating 6% GST to customers?

Pros and cons of High floor vs Low floor

What are the pros and cons of high and low floor?

Low floor had always been taken up very quickly during new project launching possibly due to lower asking price.

Should I borrow 70% loan or 100%?

Hi,

First time house buyer here in the process of applying loan from banks. I received two offers here from different banks

a) 70% loan at a lower interest

b) 100% loan (based on s&p selling price) at 0.08% higher interest

To purchase this home, I originally intended to borrow only 70%.

The banks told me any additional payments that I made will reduce my principal amount instead of "advance for interest payments".

Besides, the banks also said that withdrawal of additional payment is possible.

If I opt for package A, my loan installment will be slightly lower.

If I opt for package B, I could borrow 100% loan and put in the original 30% downpayment as additional payment to reduce my installment. Moreover, I have the flexibility to withdraw the additional 30% payment for other uses in future.

My question is are there any caveats if I opt for package B?
