Lenovo laptop camera not functioning

Hi,
I noted that my in-built camera does not function. When I click open the camera app, it's only a black screen. Normally there is a camera button, video button, on the right hand side of the screen, and settings button on the left. It's frustrating when I cannot use zoom /skype or login using face recognition due to my laptop webcam cannot function. And I have ensure I have slide open the small slider to open the camera on top of the laptop. So, it's not that reason.

Anyone can help.

Hi,

Recently I ordered a new Lenovo laptop Thinkpad, and wondering what to do after unboxing it.

1. One of the first things I noted is my keyboard - my @ is switched with ". How do I correct the error in the keyboard?

2. Why does the computer ask me (during set-up), whether I want a second keyboard layout or not. What does it mean? How do I change it in future?

3. More importantly, how do I compare the specs in the laptop I received against the technical specs as per my order sheet? Example, how do I know my RAM, storage space, what type of battery, type of display, Graphics, etc.

4. How do I add microsoft office perpetual licence and Adobe? Any free version?

I am not really familiar with these things. Can the gurus here guide me? I just want to ensure I received the laptop exactly as the one I ordered.

I want to understand more about YouTube and why people always ask their viewers to like or subscribe their channels. How important is that to making more money from YouTube? Subscribers don’t pay to subscribe your channel, right? They just hit the bell button. So how is income generated - just by advertisements alone? How much are we talking about?

Hi,
I suddenly receive a 10GB internet with validity till 7Apr. I did not click anything. I thought it was only the 3GB data valid for 30 days but no, this is additional to that.

I’m not sure how I got it. Is that free to all Hotlink postpaid? Did anyone else receive it?

And by the way, is there no one working on their customer care hotline? No one answered the calls.

Anyone else cannot receive AirAsia boarding pass?

I went to AirAsia’s website to check-in. But all I got is a barcode or QR code. Not the boarding pass that I usually receive by email after check-in online. I was asked to take this barcode to the self check-in kiosk at the airport to print the boarding pass.

The thing is I want to avoid going to airport to print due to possible time constraint. The queue could be long. And I cannot go any earlier.

Anyone else experience this with your check-in and boarding pass? Other than the airport, where else can I get my boarding pass? Kindly advise. Thank you.

How to tune to digital tv?

I no longer can view any tv channels. My tv is Samsung DNIe and model LA32r71BAX.
I stay in an apartment. Apartments usually have a wall aerial socket.

1. Is my TV digital tv?
2. If yes, do I need the apartment management to install a master aerial or something?
Or, do I need an outdoor aerial? Or, can an indoor aerial suffice?
3. If no, I suppose I need to buy a decoder. With a decoder, do I still need an outdoor or indoor aerial?

Dong Zong’s reason for opposing Khat is wrong

I personally don’t think introduction of Khat is a big deal. It’s only going to be a few lessons, after all. I don’t see it as “Islamization” as claimed by Dong Zong. If they want to oppose it, a better reason might be to argue on its usefulness for the students’ future. Their reason is stupid. They never think through properly.

If it’s just a few lessons in art, they might as well introduce it under the arts and culture subject, rather than in BM subject. Nevertheless I would argue that learning Khat may not be very useful. Learning jawi might be better than Khat. I don’t oppose learning jawi because I did learn it in school last time. I didn’t become more Muslim because of learning jawi. It’s okay. No big deal. I heard that it’s really just a few lessons.

Is my understanding correct that each iPhone user ID only has free cloud storage backup of 5GB?

And therefore if you have more ID ( i.e. if you have more than one apple device, it’s better if each of them have its own user ID. So that you’ll have more cloud storage. What’s the adv - disadv of having multiple user ID vs single ID for all your devices?

Is this correct approach? Please advise. Thanks!

I received a surprise voice message.
I checked and it says :
“anda mempunyai tindakan mahkamah... sila tekan 0 untuk maklumat lanjut...”

I got a shock because as far as I know I didn’t receive any official letters or notification of court summons. Ask me to press for further details. 😥

Should I call that number that left a voicemail? Even though I didn’t delete the message, I tried to find the message again but it’s now gone. But I can still retrieve the voice message.

My PC hangs often

My PC hangs very often since last few months. Everything stop moving and I had to force shut down. And to re-start it, I had to wait quite a while before it could restart. Then I hv to choose safe mode or normal. Previously I tried to do defragmentation and it worked for a while. Then it turns worse than before. Now it hangs before I could start doing defragmentation or it stops halfway.

Kindly advice me how I can get my PC back normal function. I am using windows 7. And I am using McAfee antivirus. But the antivirus doesn’t detect any issues. What’s wrong with my PC? What can I do?

P/S: I am not very computer savvy. Take note of this in your advice, ya... 😎

Cannot access modem website

I have an old Zyxel modem (P-660RU-Tx series) and the instruction guide says to key in "admin" as username and "1234" as default password. I tried that but cannot. Has the default password changed? How to I access http://192.168.1.1? I bought the modem like 7-8 years ago. Has the default password been changed? I am trying to access into my Ethernet connection. I am using streamyx.

How to backup WhatsApp other than iCloud

If my iphone’s iCloud is full, how do I backup my WhatsApp’s messages/other contents!

I know like for my photos, I can download to my pc and then save them on a thumbdrive or something. But for WhatsApp- how? My iCloud is already full and not thinking of purchasing additional space. I prefer other cost-less ways. Appreciate any help from forum members. 🙏😜

TSA locks and powerbank

2. Can we keep our powerbank inside our luggage and check-in the luggage? Is there a problem? If yes, is it better to carry-on the powerbank instead of checking it in?
