Hi everyone, need some guidance here.
Is it normal that the working hour is not clearly stated in the offer letter?
It is not written as flexible working hour though, what was mentioned is the working hour shall be as advised by the company and may change from time to time to accomodate business and operation needs.

How to buy some time for job offer?

So I completed the interview with company A and after 1 week they just got back to me about the offer (on wednesday afternoon) and would like to proceed with the background screenning. However, just about 2 days ago I received a call from Company B asking to attend the interview.

I asked for about a week to consider the offer from company A. So the recruiter for company A asked what is my concern and after knowing that I am pending from another company she told me the most she could give me is about 2 days and she also has some other candidates to consider.

I know in my heart that I would prefer company B more, but at the same time I am not really confident if I can get it. I already passed the test and pending the video interview. And I also have a reference working in the company B. The interview with company B gonna be on tomorrow's afternoon and I dont think everything can be expedite as it takes time to process too. The recruiter from company A told me she will give me a call again on tomorrow to confirm.

In such case, how would you guys react??
Desperately need some advice.
I am taking Company A as a backup, if I can get Company B, i will go for company B. But often things doesnt happen this way.

Should I ask for task when I wasn't assigned any?

Hello everyone, I am a fresh graduate who just started my job this January. There is another person who came in together with me, I will known as him as A.

A has 1 year working experience in similar field. Both of us are holding the same position but there will be slight difference in our major role as according to the management. So the first few weeks we were just getting ourself familiar with the company and all the systems which we gonna use in the future.

Then a few weeks later A has been assigned some tasks and I wasn't assigned any. Since I am very new to this field all I could do is just keep learning the skills and knowledge that required. However, it's been almost 2 months now and I still haven't been assigned anything to do even just a simple or minor task except learning about the company.. and yet I have to report what I am currently doing everyday and I have really no idea what should i report since I dun have any tasks assigned like the others..All I could do is just report the same thing.. My team is only made up of two ppl which is A and also myself.

Should I ask for any tasks or pick up any tasks? I am afraid that ppl might think that I am arrogant if the way I am asking is not that appropriate.. I really enjoy working with this company and I really wish that I can pass my probation.. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks in advance.

Cost of living to survive in Solaris Dutamas

Hello everyone.
I have questions regarding the cost of living in area near Solaris Dutamas.

I am a fresh graduate, and I know the salary for a fresh graduate wouldn't exceed RM3000 except for those special cases. So I was wondering, those who are working in Solaris Dutamas, what is the range of salary that you think is enough for you to cover the expenses working there? For example how much is the room rental, how much you spend for your daily meals, the parking rate, how is the road condition etc. Do you face traffic jam in the morning while going to work and also when you back from work?

It would be glad if someone who is working in Solaris Dutamas able to answer my questions and share some of your experience with me. Or if you are not working there but you know a little about the life there, feel free to share with me too! Your answers will be greatly appreciated!

How to politely turn down a task?

So here is my case.
I just joined this small company and I feel like cheated because the company is hiding something from me. They never revealed to me that they are actually business partner of a company (I am not going to reveal here) and they are in charge for events invitation to all the guests which including doing the invitation cards and sending out to the guests. Sending out the invitation cards really needs a lot of time to settle before sending out as we need to cut and paste the names manually onto the cards, and also the address need to be pasted manually onto the envelopes. Trust me,it is not a small amount like hundred something. It is 20 times of hundred..All these are out of my job scopes but sometimes I did stay till late to help them with these. I even heard that I might need to help out at the event as registration which is totally not in my job scope. Wait, they should have hired event crew for this, how come I am the one who need to be at the event and help out since it is totally not related with my job? There was once I had been asked to go to the event but I managed to avoid from it since it is on weekend. But this time, the event will be on weekday. So if you were me, how would you response to the boss?

Hello everyone.
I came across this job titled Content Review Analyst and was wondering if anyone works as this before?
I am a fresh graduate and currently looking for job, sent my cv to companies that I am interested to join which related to the field of my study and yet no any news. I was then informed about this position and was wondering if anyone has experience in this career? As it is not related to my field of study, I was considering about it but at the same time I am worrying that I might have to change my career path if I was joining a different field. Anyone works as this Content Review Analyst before/knows about the position mind to share some experience and advice? Thanks in advnce!
