[Review] ShowMore Web-based Recorder Application

Several days ago, I accidentally read a post from ShowMore site concerning the topic of screen recording tool and find a new free screen recorder application. It is a web-based screen capturing tool which can be quite popular among users. On seeing so many great comments from its website, I have a try by myself and think it not bad indeed. Hence, I would like to share such a review here to the forum.

Below are all the steps upon how to use this recorder.

For first time visit, users need to go to its official site first and click on the "Start Recording" button. After a while, there will pop up a window asking to install a launcher that can activate the tool.

Just follow the guidance and install it on PC. Then go back to web and I can see its interface and recording frame.

There are totally three modes (region, full screen, webcam) to choose. Audio input has system and micro two options. Besides, some other settings can be configured like recording hotkeys.

For an instance, I optionally choose an area to record. After 3 second countdown, it will start capturing the screen. During recording, I am able to add various annotation and marks. This should be useful for game recording or online lectures. Absolutely a Nice Feature.

Once done, I can pause recording and choose to save as video. It allows me to choose multiple video formats such as MP4, AVI, WMV, etc. GIF is also supported.

It has a option of installing an editor plug-in, users can trim, crop, add marks as well as convert formats.

Pro: Compared with other programs like Jing, ScreenCast-O-Matic, it edges better for it has no limits in aspects of duration and audio recording. And when it comes to quality, the recorded video is also satisfactory enough.

Con: If it can offer an offline version, I think it surely get more users.

For anyone wants to experience its feature, here is the link.

https://showmore.com/
