Hi,still new to the dslr world...am using a canon 500D at the moment with kit lens. would like to enquire all the pros here which of these 2 lens would be better for my camera...would be using to take some certain perfomances from far or sceneries when going holiday?nothing much professional btw. how much would you think would be a fair price for this 2 lens?

planning to purchase a dslr camera soon but i not very sure into which dslr camera i should get....can somebody enlighten me which one i should get?let me know with the reasons as well why it is better.
