Need advice from (dentist/had perforation)

Went for root canal treatment and paid partial on my first visit. Upon my second visit. my dentist suspected perforation and did not ask for payment. Third visit, confirmed perforation and attempt to repair but failed, no payment required.

I was referred to oral surgeon and now it cost me twice the amount of a root canal treatment which is 4k.

Wtf..... Actually the dentist was very friendly, but if he did f*** up my tooth I really want a refund. What are my options? Anyhow, I still need to see an oral surgeon asap to determine save or extract.

Anyone has had experience with perforated tooth or dentist/oral surgeon can give advice here?

fren possibly getting fired for badmouthing superi

As per title, my fren joins in when colleagues were ranting about their superior. But they were chit-chating in private.

Superior went over cctv footage to listen what they usually talk in office and now is threatening my fren that there is solid evidence to fire him/her.

Said fren is told by the company not to come in to work these past few days.

Is that a ground to fire staff? Does that not count as invading staff's privacy?

Yesterday his daughter sick I give RM200, today his father died he needs RM150 to take bus go back Alor Setar.

I took my anti-depressant pill yesterday and am too emotionally exhausted to think anymore then I got back his text this afternoon.

Again, I need lyn members' advice to proceed on this.

Edit #2: It ended with him pushing me to deposit him the money and I refused. Told my parents about it. Instead of reporting it police, my parents ask me to cut the loss by just blocking the number? I really don't understand why, if I am the victim to a sympathy scam why its hard to build a case? My parents told me I can't report because I can't prove he's scamming me.

Went to family mart just now to get some chips and soft drinks.

While on my way in, a visibly concern-looking Malay lady carrying her baby daughter told me how her husband card kena telan by ATM and need $200 to get her to the clinic.

They promised to return the money first thing in the morning after they visit the bank.

I agree to lend them the money and requested a name and phone number. Husband told me his name is "Muhammad" which I know for sure that ain't his entire name.

My call got thru his phone and I added his number to my whatsapp.

I knowingly gave them the money despite everything screams scam, but would like to believe in the off-chance that they probably really needed that money for the daughter.

I really hope they won't go so low as to using their daughter to scam ppl.

So my question is,
What are my options if I don't receive the call tomorrow
With limited information such as the location where I got scammed and the husband's phone number
And since they wore surgical mask I cant make out how they look like
Will police layan my case if I report scam?

Edit: I didn't get the call. I hope the couple make good use of the money to feed their daughter.

My family has been living in a rented property in Klang Valley for over 15 years + now due to reasons like better school, transportation, distance to workplace yadi yadi yada. Our late landlord has been charging us rents below the market price (approximately 15-20% lower) because we were punctual on our rents, my dad renovated the crappy-looking house himself and paid for the repair/maintenance. The rent amount goes on unchanged for the past 15 years as the late landlord asked his family to do so before he passed away.

Now my dad (retired) and mom (soon to be retiring) is going to move back to our own property in Cheras as they no longer needs to be near to their workplace and us kids has graduated/working.

Upon learning that we're going to move back, my sibling (which has long moved away) wanted to keep renting the place to sublet. Said sibling wanted to keep renting at privileged rate so they could sublet at market price to profit from the difference. But all of this without the knowledge of the landlord.

Basically rent and then re-rent at higher rate, so is this even considered sublet if they are doing it without the knowledge of the landlord? Because said sibling afraid that landlord will no longer charge us at privileged rate if they inform plan to sublet.

TL;DR - Moving out from rented house soon but sibling want take over cheap rent and re-rent/sublet to others at a higher rate without disclosing to the current landlord. TS is bingung if this even legal

Urgent - Airport Security Screening

Gf going US on Delta Airline, so we were chatting on whatsapp since the plane has free inflight Wi-Fi. At one point I casually asked what items she brought, has she declared it, told her might have agriculture inspections (knowledge based on the stuff I learned from watching Border Security: America's Front Line, I have never been to US nor stepped foot in US airport myself)

All was well, she did took the precautions. Until she realized she has a pepper spray with her in the cabin luggage she brought with her. PEPPER SPRAY.

I went to the TSA website to see their regulation for pepper spray. No, cannot for cabin luggage. Then I told her in chat, cannot. She plans to curi-curi throw it before heading to security checkpoint upon arrival. I advice her to just be honest about the mistake. She said okay.

I went on to read if there's any similar event has happenned before, SWEET LORD JESUS the potential hefty fine they could charge you for carrying even a small pepper spray pen.

Anyone has kolik that like to acts like they're the deputy of your boss. They same rank as you but worked longer only.

I like to call this kolik the 'house nigga' if you ever watched Django Unchained.

I had a friendly argument with boss, then we reached consensus. Since the arguments were indistinct so kolik don't know what happen. I came out. Straight away reprimand me for 'mencabar' the boss, kecoh betul. 'You kenot do lyk dis, challenging your boss'. Diam ah.

On my way from jalan templer to jalan klang lama, was weird why road starting jam around 3pm. When reach the front of jam, got pulis at the scene.

Rider's head got squashed to meat sauce, got cover but still manage to see them splatter all over the place. Saw car ahead left rear damaged. Kenot look at bolognese the same way now.

My last topic, I got a message from an unknown sender which turns out to be someone from the office which I'm currently working part time at.

Anyway, before I start my story beware this new MLM "Shop.com" because its a new MLM hitting Malaysia now. This shit is already widely spreading in Taiwan and Malaysia would soon follows.

So basically I got a whatsapp DM I thought was from a unknown sender, this uncle had the audacity to straight DM me without telling me who he was. I have no idea how he got my contact, he's not my colleague either. Just a friendly uncle working in the same building I would usually just greet good morning every day. Sent me this message saying I could work another part time that could augment my income, and he has a friend from Taiwan that could explain it in details for me. In the message trying to mislead me thinking that the jobscope was merely helping out on managing a e-retailing site, had no clue it was MLM because MLM ppl always don't want to sound like they're MLM.

Since I'm seeing this uncle whenever I shows up to work, I thought maybe I should go listen to the 'explanation' first. And he even offered to pay for my dinner. I agreed to meetup and he scheduled the time and place.

Revelation:
As soon as I reached, you know what? I saw a frickin family there at the table, not just 1 friend wor. Family of 3, the Taiwan unker, his wife and his beautiful daughter . I sat down, Taiwan unker along his family gib me the warmest greet. Don't buy into that crap, that just them trying to makes you think they sincere since entire family come greet you. Making you feel since they being so "transparent" even let you get to know their family then they must have nothing to hide. You dead wrong.

I tried to enquire about what type of part time is this actually, they kept avoiding the question and telling me how I can gain lucrative incentives easily. Then I knew, it most probably is MLM and "lucrative incentive" was already the first cue of it. Once I done eating, they felt the need to further elaborate to me. I had to follow them to a cafe, Taiwan unker took out a booklet like maciam yes and explains to me as he flips the pages. Daughter also sat nearby to serve as eye candy while occasionally cuts in the conversation by sharing her "experience" after she quit her day job as car salesperson and do this as primary mean of income. Taiwan unker could never stop telling me how he is impressed with the innovative business model and could liberate hundreds of thousands of people financially. My take on this? It's downright ugly. Nothing innovative about it. My office unker also sometimes help to throw in a few nice words to help them convince me to join. I had to sit there listening to their total BS about 2 hours before I could finally leave. I gave like a "I need to go home and research more on this before making any rash decision." excuse before I leave, eventho I knew for sure no way in hell I would say yes to them.

Now the thing is I could hardly tell if they just that good in conning others or they just delusional morons really believing into these craps. Because the unker that works in the same office as me I could tell he's definitely a delusional moron and wouldn't dare to con me. These Taiwan kias however, idk which is it because they look legit sincere.

Might have gotten me a free dinner, but have wasted me 2 hours of my life....

TL;DR: pukimak MLM waste kao my time.

Been cooking for myself quite somewhile now ever since I took up keto diet to lose weight. A number of them in my ofis already knew I bring self-cooked lunch. Well it's not gourmet level but recipe can be easily learn from the web these days.

This amoi from another department saw my egg-stuffed bell pepper had really hard time believing I made them myself. Boy had I know these type of stuff attracts female to come talk to me I'd do it a long time ago.

Tl;dr TS syok because finally gets to talk to amoi not because he's attractive but becuz he can cook.

So after 2 months I manage to lost some weights, wanna step up the game and train myself to do pull up/chin up. Unfortunately the one at the playground near my place was demolished because no one was using them, so I'm thinking of setting one at my home.

If possible I want those that can be set up like Pull Up Mate so I can watch my tv while training. Besides, the ones that relies on door cant be used in my doorway.

Is there any other alternatives really? The 'Pull Up Mate' is good but the item and shipping gonna cost me a bomb! If possible I want to know if anything similar can be bought here instead.

Last Sunday I was fined by a polis at KL, I believe it's a legit cop he has legit device that could check vehicle owner's information and such. Things is he never issued me a summon paper and asked me to settle my fine asap at dbkl. He took a picture of my license with his phone before letting me go.

To date when I check Myeg, pdrm and dbkl, it says that I have no outstanding summon. Even confirmed with the guy that can settle summon here on lowyat and no fine history was found.

So, should I be worrying or my fine needs more time to update into the system? It has already been a week. I don't understand why he has to take picture of my license. Scared if he misuse my license for his personal agenda.
