Water Cut Again?! Fed up.

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 — Several areas in Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam and Klang will experience a temporary water supply disruption, scheduled for two days starting January 12.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) in a statement today said this was to facilitate work to transfer and connect new pipes near Persiaran Selangor Section 15, Shah Alam, which started at 9am.

“A total of 22 areas in Shah Alam, four areas in Klang and 10 areas in Petaling are expected to experience the scheduled water supply disruption.

“Water supply will gradually resume from 9am on January 14,” it said.

The statement said the duration of disruption and water supply recovery in the affected areas would vary, depending on the distance of the location of the consumers’ premises and the water pressure on the distribution system.

Consumers living in the affected areas are advised to store sufficient water and use it prudently during the period.

Air Selangor said the implementation of the work would enable the water supply distribution system to always be in optimal condition.

“The improvement of this pipeline infrastructure is also part of Air Selangor’s efforts in improving its services for the convenience of consumers in the future,” it added.

EPF statutory contribution 9% or 11% - cum discuss

FM made the annoucement during budget 2021 tabling that EPF statutory contribution will be reduced from 11% to 9% from Jan to Dec 2021. For those who choose to have the reduction of 9%, don't have to do a thing. For those who choose to maintain 11% will have to fill up the form and submit to their respective company's HR for processing.

This not something new coz we alrd received a reduction of 7% from Apr to Dec 2020.

"The final-stage trial of a Chinese frontrunner vaccine candidate has been halted in Brazil due to a serious adverse event, the first time that any of the Asian nation’s rapidly developed Covid-19 shots have met with such a setback.

Testing of Sinovac Biotech Ltd.’s vaccine, called Coronavac, has been halted in Brazil after an event that occurred on Oct. 29, said the Brazil Health Agency on Tuesday, without giving any further detail on what happened. The study is interrupted in accordance with regulations while the agency analyzes if the study should continue, it said."

Teenage tahfiz school students charged with murder of fellow schoolboy in Temerloh

TEMERLOH, Nov 15 — Two teenage boys were charged in the Magistrate’s Court here today with the murder of seven-year-old Mohammad Aimin Nurul Amin at a tahfiz centre here on Thursday.

The two minors, both aged 13, nodded to indicate that they understood when the charge was read out before Magistrate Ti Pei Si in a closed-door proceeding today.

Both of them were accused of having murdered Mohammad Aimin between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Nov 7, at the dormitory of the Maahad Tahfiz Nahdah Syubban Addiniyah in Kampung Kuala Kaung in Lanchang, here.

DPP Rifah Izzati Abdul Mutalif prosecuted under Section 302 of the Penal Code which provides for mandatory death sentence, upon conviction.

The two accused were not represented by lawyers at the proceedings which was also attended by their parents.

Ti set Dec 19 for mention for submission of the victim’s medical report and for the accused to appoint their respective lawyers.

On Nov 8, the media reported that Mohammad Aimin was pronounced dead at the Lanchang Health Clinic around 1.30pm, after being taken there by the tahfiz female warden who found him in a listless condition 30 minutes earlier.

An autopsy carried out at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital here confirmed that Mohammad Aimin’s death was due to trauma on his chest and abdomen by blunt object.

It was understood that the victim had just joined the tahfiz centre around mid-October, along with his 13-year-old stepbrother. — Bernama
