Frequent disconnection and loss of speed

Broadband provider
ISP/package: Streamyx
Location: Negeri Sembilan
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: No

Personal equipment
Modem: Cisco X3000
Router: Cisco X3000
Firewall used: none

Problem details
First occurence of problem: a week ago
Problem frequency: frequent
Problem description:

I bought a Cisco X3000 so that I can use my original streamyx modem (RIGER DB108-WL) as a backup. It sets up fine the first time I turn it on and everything, but about a week ago, it began to suddenly having frequent disconnection and loss of speed (I am subbed to Streamyx 4mb package).

So far, I have tried:

-Disabled QoS
-Set lower MTU
-Disabled IGMP
-Changed the encapsulation from Multimode to ADSL2+ and back.

I'm thinking the problem might be with the hardware itself, because the problem only occurs on the Cisco modem router and not with the original Streamyx modem. But I've tried a TP-Link modem before and it too had the same frequent disconnection problem (especially when it rains) so I'm not so sure.

I monitored the SNR and Attenuation level of the X3000 and saw that it fluctuates wildly, something that did not occur in the RIGER modem.

Am really having a headache with this thing.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Thank you.

Weird z-5500 fuse problem

Hi,

I have a weird problem with my z-5500 speaker. I bought the speaker in Japan while I was studying there 3 years ago and it worked fine while I was there. I recently moved back to Malaysia and I brought the speaker back with me and bought a step down transformer for it. My problem is this:

1) The fuse blew (due to my own mistake) and I bought a replacement fuse as stated in the back of the subwoofer unit. The fuse blow after only a few short seconds.

2) I've looked around the net, and found some of the other solutions (like using 2A 250V slow blow). Didn't work either, the fuse still blow.

3) I've contacted Logitech (both US and Malaysia) 4-5 times and they ended up saying they couldn't help me and said that my sub unit has a defect (although it worked fine for the whole 3 years without any defect...).

4) I think the sub unit still work because when I plugged the 4A 125V Sloblo fuse in, the red light in the control pod came to life for a few short seconds before the fuse blow which mean it's the fuse (as far as I know), right?

I'm at wits end here and I'm don't know what else to do except buying another set (which I am trying not to do) or search for the subwoofer unit at ebay or somewhere.

Please help.
