Becareful with Wai Auto Sales Sdn Bhd

Just wanted to share my experience with Wai Auto Sales Sdn Bhd. (792650-A)

**UPDATE**

The boss of the shop called and agreed to refund the deposit, so it's cool there. He also mention he's unaware the meter had been tampered and offered to find another suitable car. Told him I've lost confidence already.

So I guess, to everyone buying 2nd hand cars, to check thoroughly on the vehicle service records or give the service centers a call before spending the cash. Does not matter it's from dealer or owner.

**END OF UPDATE**

Went there last Wed and placed a MYR500 booking for a 2011 Inspira with odo reading 52883km after testing the vehicle out. Went home and waited for Friday to go to JPJ to change name. No service record for the car. Registration card registered to Spanco.

The next day my friend who came along when I paid the deposit showed me some pics she took whilst in the car. There was a receipt from Spanco service centre dated 29/7/2015 with list of service done and the odometer reading of 150k km. This prompted suspicion and so we called the said service centre and confirmed the odo reading. Also verified the chasis no. and engine no. on the receipt is the same as the car cert.

Then I called the salesman called Peter to cancel the booking and told him what I discovered. Asked for refund on deposit. He said no idea, he's just a salesman and I have to deal with HQ and boss. So I called HQ with the number given and spoke to a lady, Vivian. She said it's OK to refund and will speak to the boss.

So this morning, I called Peter again to get my refund and he told me there will be no refund on the deposit. I replied if that's the case I will lodge a police report. Also Vivian did not pick up my calls. The boss number totally disabled - no dial tone. Duh...

TL;DR be careful of Wai Auto Sales Sdn Bhd.

Pics later if rajin. Typing on pon susah. Cheers.
