Three days ago, I was driving back home. Suddenly a car jumped into my lane w/o giving signal. Walaowei I said tabuli ini macham. Gave a soft honk and the car moved to the most left lane to give way to me. To my surprise, it was a pretty girl. Really damn pretty amoi. But she flipped me the middle finger with her tongue out.

At that moment, I was confused. So do I now.

After three days, still thinking about her and that middle finger, giving me boners.

Guys, seems like you guys have so many experience on this.

I'm about to proceed with my first purchase on Alibaba and the amount would be around rm3k, which is for sporting goods.

I believe it would be held by Customs but will it be customs in semenanjung or sabah? Asking this since the delivery address is in Sabah. And what is the expected tax rate?

My FIL's Business

So a month ago, my father in law opened a stall, near to an industrial area (KKIP) and politeknik KK. He started with an investment of RM10K and got help from an experience cook. Fast forward today, he already closed the stall. His reasons are:
1. Customers are only a few everyday
2. Too many competitors
3. His lot is 'hidden'

I just laughed my ass off in my heart la of course. I didn't say anything, from the beginning of his shortlived business. He acted like he knew so much, knew so well. Never asked for suggestion and all. He thought the first month can get the ROI already, half of it if not all.

What I was taught by my own father, the first 5 years of business is the trial stage. Don't expect to get the ROI, just enough to survive. However, if the ROI is achieved, that's a bonus.

My side hustle is a printing shop which I opened 2 years ago. Still running while the one next door already closed shop. The profit isn't that big but still able to help me to get through. Hopefully I can expand my business in the near future.

My tetek is don't do business half ass and expect to get profit fast. Wanna have a business is different from doing one.

Other boss can share your thoughts and experience here as well.

The guy asked me if my monthly commitment for loan and CC more than 2000.

I said yes, then he offered me to pay only 600 plus under AKPK scheme. The downsides are, I can't use my CC anymore and I can't loan anything while under their scheme.

Problem:
1. I don't have any troubles paying. Infact I'm a great paymaster. 98% of payment done on time.

2. I don't want my name to be tarnished with AKPK record.

What got me thinking:
1. I don't rely on CC much. So by not being able to use CC, I can live normally.

2. 1400 savings per month. That's a great deal.

What do you guys think about it?

Edit: the call centre name is Ace Advisory Sdn. Bhd. Registered company unde SSM. But nothing im details can be found about them.

Hi guys, as per title, unifi is doing some kind of promo until 31st Dec. So I called their CS and confirmed that the contract is 12 months and the month after, the payment is still RM59 until I decide to terminate my account.

But I'm curious about its performance. I can say that most of the time, I'm well within their 4G coverage and the CS said the speed can go up to 20mbps. Anyone can confirm this?

My phone support Band 5 850 and I'm porting out from Digi i100. I don't really mind the 10gb hotspot since I do most of my works on phone.

Can you guys share your experiences with unifi unlimited as well?

Trolling answers are acceptable but tone it down la bro.

How far a car can go

As per title, I forgot to refuel my car. I was so preoccupied with things. Now the distance between my house and the nearest petrol station is 10km in a nornal traffic.
Will I be able to get there before the fuel run out?

Thursday after noon: 2km before home, triple dots on estimated drive left.

Just now: prayed hard sempat ke PS. Filled 30 litres.

Aircond Problem

I'm living in my late grandmother's house. There's an aircond which I didn't bother to use before this but today, I switched it on for the first time. What I found out was, other electrical appliances seemed to be affected when it's turn on. The led ceiling lamp slightly dimmed, noticeable enough.

/K wiring pro, what do you think causes this issue?

This might be long and there's a TLDR below.

So today I was involved in an altercation between a security guard and an old man maybe around 60-75 years old who is a rice cracker seller.

I was having my lunch when the security guard came near the old man 3 tables away in front of me, eating his paid lunch. Apparently he had been selling the rice cracker inside the mall which is prohibited and obviously the SG was only doing his job. So I just continue eating without putting much attention to their conversation. It was one-sided because the OM was apologising profusely while the SG kept babbling about the laws and things. Then the SG walked away but came back in a few minutes, confiscating all the rice crackers that old man had. The OM was stunned but there was nothing he could do, he thought.

At this moment, I didn't realized that happened until I heard the commotions by the people around the OM. I saw his sad face but no one was doing anything other than talking. So I took my last chew and pay the bill. I asked the waitress where the SG had gone, I walked as fast as I could to find the SG. He was on his way back to the scene.

So I asked him, "Bang, kenapa ambil keropok pakcik tu?"
He said,"Mana boleh jual dalam sini kalau tak bayar lesen."
Then I said to him, "Abang mahu jalankan tugas, saya faham tapi budi bahasa sikit. Pakcik tu tengah makan, abang rampas sampai dia terdiam. At least bagi peluang dia makan dulu, and then baru bawa dia jumpa abang punya ketua. Jangan anggap dia bukan siapa-siapa, abang tak perlu hormat."
He said,"Sinilah kita jumpa ketua saya. Kau cakap dengan dia."
And then we went to meet his boss,we looked at the cctv, I explained everything, his boss was appalled to hear his doing and ordered him to return the goods to the OM.

I felt a huge relief and a sense of victory.

While we were waiting the SG to return the good, the OM said, "Saya baliklah dulu." I said to him," Pakcik, kita tunggu sampai keropok pakcik ada dengan pakcik." When he said that, I'm almost choked in tears but I managed to hold it. It felt like he had given up and accepted his fate. Eventually the OM got back his goods. I asked him to promise to never sell it in the mall again, but he never was actually. Even the cctv footage showed him getting into the mall heading directly to the cafe. He was in the mall to have lunch only.

I'm the kind of a guy who can't stand seeing these kind of situations.
So that was my afternoon although a bit late.

My Xiaomi Pro HD just went kaput after almost 3 years of heavy use (average daily usage around 1-4 hour)

So /k, please recommend me nice replacement under RM100.

I've been looking at a few KZ and QKZ lines, the reviews are great but a bit sceptical since I don't get to test it myself, I'm afraid it wouldn't suit my ears well.

Other than those two, what other brands would you recommend? Preferably wired set instead of bulutut.

It comes as no surprise that the next product to come out of the Proton and Geely partnership will most likely be based on the Geely Binyue - the younger brother of the Geely Boyue that our Proton X70 is based on.

The Geely Binyue has already been caught here, and Proton’s Head of Engineering, Yang Jun, has confirmed that Proton will be introducing a new model fitted with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine.

While the Geely Binyue has all but been confirmed as Proton’s next model, another piece in the puzzle is perhaps the name of the new model. Since the introduction of the Binyue in China, many have speculated the potential name of the new subcompact SUV.

Thanks to a trademark filed by Proton, it appears that the company is considering to use the X50 name on the new model. The X50 name was registered alongside other possible names, including V50, V70, V500, V700, X500, and X700.

Another evidence that Proton could use the X50 name is due to the fact that the X50 name follows the same alphanumeric naming convention that the X70 started. Moving forward, all future Proton models will adopt this alphanumeric naming format, instead of phonetic names.

KUALA LUMPUR: Khazanah Nasional Berhad merekodkan kerugian sebelum cukai RM6.3 bilion pada 2018 berbanding untung sebelum cukai RM2.896 bilion tahun sebelumnya.

Ini merupakan kerugian pertama yang dicatat syarikat pelaburan kerajaan dalam tempoh 10 tahun.

“Keuntungan terjejas disebabkan penghapusan pelaburan yang sedikit, pengurangan pendapatan dividen dan rosot nilai yang tinggi.

“Rosot nilai direkodkan pada RM7.3 bilion pada 2018, meningkat RM5 bilion berbanding 2017,” kata Pengarah Urusan Khazanah, Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan dalam kenyataan yang diedarkan pada Selasa.

Menurut beliau, pada 2018, kerajaan memulakan pelan penstrukturan dan penyusunan semula Khazanah termasuk menukar kepimpinan dan Ahli Lembaga Pengarah serta pengurusan.

Susulan itu, Khazanah turut menyemak dan menilai semula pelaburan cabang pelaburan kerajaan itu.

“Perubahan ini diterjemahkan kepada prestasi kewangan Khazanah pada 2018,” kata beliau lagi.

Sementara itu Nilai portfolio Khazanah Nasional Berhad turun 21.6 peratus kepada RM91 bilion setakat 31 Disember 2018 berbanding RM116 bilion tahun sebelumnya.

Nilai itu diukur berdasarkan Nilai Bersih Diselaras (NWA).

Nilai Aset Direalisasi (RAV) turut menyusut kepada RM136 bilion berbanding RM157 bilion bagi tempoh sama.

“Prestasi kami bagi 2018 terjejas disebabkan beberapa perkembangan ekonomi dan sosial semasa global dan domestik.

“Portfolio Khazanah terjejas akibat ketidaktentuan ekonomi global pada 2018 yang menyaksikan pasaran perlahan susulan ketegangan geopolitik serta unjuran lemah pertumbuhan negara pesat membangun,"kata Shahril Ridza lagi.

Bagi 2019, Khazanah, ujar beliau, akan memberi tumpuan kepada mengimbangkan kembali strategi portfolio dan mengukuhkan kedudukan kewangan.

Ringgit naik 0.8 peratus berbanding dolar US kepada 4.0770 pada minggu pertama Februari, selepas meningkat 0.7 peratus pada Januari. - Gambar hiasan
KUALA LUMPUR: Ringgit dijangka naik secara beransur-ansur untuk sekali lagi melepasi paras psikologi 4.0 berbanding dolar US, dan meneruskan aliran meningkat kepada 3.80 menjelang akhir 2019, menurut RHB Research.

Peningkatan rizab forex Malaysia dan langkah Rizab Persekutuan (Fed) Amerika Syarikat (AS) untuk tidak menaikkan kadarnya memberikan sokongan kepada mata wang tempatan.

Rizab forex Malaysia naik US$700 juta kepada US$102.1 bilion pada 31 Jan, 2019, selepas susut US$600 juta pada Disember 2018.

"Ringgit dijangka meneruskan aliran meningkat kepada 3.80 berbanding dolar US menjelang akhir 2019, juga disebabkan kelemahan dolar berikutan Fed AS dijangka menangguhkan langkah untuk menaikkan kadarnya susulan wujud tanda-tanda pertumbuhan ekonomi AS akan lebih perlahan," kata firma penyelidikan itu dalam nota hari ini.

Merujuk kepada angka Bank Negara Malaysia, katanya peningkatan rizab forex dijangka dipacu oleh pengumpulan lebihan secara berterusan dalam akaun semasa, manakala portfolio pelaburan mengalami pengurangan aliran keluar dana, disokong oleh aliran masuk bersih ke dalam pasaran ekuiti dalam tempoh itu.

Katanya rizab forex juga dijangka meningkat bulan ini didorong oleh peningkatan akaun semasa dan pengurangan aliran keluar portfolio.

Ringgit naik 0.8 peratus berbanding dolar US kepada 4.0770 pada minggu pertama Februari, selepas meningkat 0.7 peratus pada Januari.

Mata wang tempatan dibuka tinggi pagi ini (9 pagi) pada 4.0650/0700 berbanding dolar US daripada 4.0770/0800 pada penutupan 6 petang Selasa..
