Difference between 60Hz and 144Hz for Dota2

Hi guys, I wanna know your opinion/experience if any of you have upgraded from 60Hz monitor to a 144Hz one for playing Dota2? I know that it makes a big difference when it comes to FPS games but I only play Dota2 most of the time. So is it worth to upgrade my monitor to a 27'' 144Hz monitor or instead should I get a 29'' ultrawide monitor for the sake of productivity (I do quite a lot of reading/video editing).
