SNAP.B bicycle saddle bag by VOUEL

Hi everyone!

Several close friends and I have been working on a bicycle saddle bag prototype over the last two years. As avid cyclists ourselves, we often have our dilemmas when it comes to saddle bag. Practical or aesthetic? Size or storage? At one hand we want the saddle bag practicality of carrying around the essentials items like spare tubes and multi-tools during our rides. On the other hand we want to keep the clean aesthetic of our bike. In the case where the practical sense won the first dilemma, we typically still need to trade off between storage space or utterly bulky saddle bag. Even the ones least concern with aesthetic would shake their heads staring at the dorky saddle bag hanging below the bicycle saddle. Majority of the saddle bags in the market today are boxy and black, which doesn’t help to promote the saddle bag’s stylish or aesthetic aspect. It is also a pity that with all the advancements in cycling products over the last few years, the most common saddle bag attachment system still comes down to Velcro. There are some quick attachment saddle bag out there today but they are typically limited to a certain saddle brand or you need to have separate attachment mount on your saddle.

Would you be interested if there is a saddle bag that have:
1. World's fastest attachment and removal speed.
2. Universal compatibility to most saddles without needing separate attachment mount.
3. Tool-less installation.
4. Class leading compactness with class leading storage space.

As a preview, checkout https://www.vouel.com. Coming to Kickstarter in October. By the way, this is a Malaysian invention! Please help to support and spread the words!
Facetime through 3G without jailbreak

Guys,

I am having this in mind but not sure whether it will work. Anyone who has already tried this is welcome to give feedback. Basically what I am trying to do is to get my parents an iPad so that they can Facetime with my children as we are living in different states. My parents doesn't have a fixed line internet connection at home, thus the easiest internet connection for them would be Maxis 3G. But as we all know Facetime doesn't work with 3G without jailbreak and I do not intend to jailbreak. Thus what I want to do is to subscribe to Maxis 3G broadband with WIFI HSPA modem (E5832). In this case the iPad will be connecting to the 3G boradband as a wifi. Do you guys think the Facetime will work using this combination? Please help to advice.

Reprocess Astro signal for better video output?

Everyone knows Astro video signal is sucks! Especially when they are on big plasma tv or LCD tv. I am wondering whether there is anyway that I can setup a system (like HTPC, etc) to take the original Astro signal as input, reprocess the signal (deinterlace, scale, etc) and then output the signal with better quality. This is the flow in my mind:

Astro signal ---> Signal reprocessing ---> output reprocessed signal to Plasma/LCD TV

For the signal reprocessing I am thinking of using signal processing hardware like Holo3DGraph II + sigma Xcard. The investment for above hardware is not cheap thus I am wondering whether there will be any visible differences. Besides, if the video signal went thru above reprocessing, is the video still will be live or delayed? Any expert/sifu here to give some opinion?

If you are rich, it is recommended to get a good component cable to hook up your DVD player to your TV set, let it be LCD TV or Plasma TV or DLP TV. I am interested to know how much improvement can we see on a TV in using a good component cable rather than the stock component cable. Does good component cable improve the display quality of your ASTRO set too? To all the si fu out there, please advice.

HTC TyTN

From the day Atom hit the market, I told myself, what a great device but unfortunately where is the 3G connection and the QWERTY keyboard? I was so so tempted to buy the Atom but I hold myself back. I settle for Nokia N80 for the mean time but it is not going to satisfy me for long. Now, ladies and gentlemen, I bring you, the HTC TyTN (Titan). So, since I've run the search on "HTC TyTN" and "Treon" without any outcome, I guess i can start a topic on the HTC TyTN? This is the phone which will draw hugh blood from my wallet in near future.

Details on HTC TyTN, click here
3G PDA Phone specifications, click here
Press release, click here
Details on T-Mobile MDA Vario II, click here
Detials on O2 Treon, click here
More details, click here

Well, i can't help but wonder, is there any Chieftec products owner here in LYN? Everytime i look around, it is CoolerMaster, Themaltake, Enlight, etc...so where is my beloved Chieftec? I guess i should start talking about it and bring awareness of Chieftec product to LYN!

I am currently using Chieftec casing and its 420W true power PSU. Both serving me well and I am pretty satisfied with them.

Click here to find out more about Chieftec.
