Offset Notice Period Salary

Hi All,

So I tendered my resignation and my last day of service is supposed to be 10 Sept 2019 (5 working days in Sept). However, I used my annual leave balance to offset 5 days from my notice period, so I left the company on the last day of August.

Just wanna ask, how should my salary for the month of September be calculated?

Proprietary Day Trader

Hi all,

I recently got an offer for the role of proprietary day trader (PDT) trading Bursa listed equities. However, I'm having second thoughts about accepting it.
I was hoping if anyone has some knowledge about this role and would be willing to share as I have no prior experience with trading.

Some info about the role I was offered:

2.5k basic + commission (about 10-30% at the beginning), commission and capital allocated for trading will be adjusted based on performance.
Contract based for the first 2 years, performance review every 6 months (will be let go if performance is bad, however if bad performance but boss thinks there's potential, extended for another 6 months).

From what I've gathered so far, there will be minimal chance for career progression. Just increase in capital and commission.

What do you guys think?

Working in Hong Leong Bank

Hi everyone, I'm a fresh grad with a degree in finance and economics.

I have an upcoming interview next week at Hong Leong Bank for their Business and Coporate Banking Graduate Trainee Program. Basically this program would prepare me for the role of Account Relationship Manager after 18 months.

I'd like to know what the job prospects are for this role, ideally I'd like to break into CF/IB. Any thoughts?

Oh and also please do share about Hong Leong Bank's culture and working environment.
