Tournament Mechanics for upcoming Subang Parade tournament:

1) FREE registration

2) Tournament will take place in PADS and STICKS

3) Group Match for first round and 2 or 3 of each group will qualify for
knockout stage.

4) Custom buttons is allowed except 1 button focus and throw.

5) Arcade sticks remain as arcade style configurations

6) All characters are selectable. Only one character are allow to use per
contestant.

7) Please dont sign up and dissappear. there are a few contestant
signed up and fear the challenge. This is not healthy !!! We will black
list this kind of attitude contestant. Since its free to take part, DO NOT
MISS USE THE MECHANICS.

8) Those who swear will be disqualified and will be sent off from
tournament area.

9) Press HOME twice will be disqualified on that match.

10) Those with own controllers, please assure how it works. You are
not allow to rechange or custom once the game starts.

11) In case of electricity breakdown, the match will be a rematch.

12) In any case of glitch (somehow) both contestant may suggest to
rematch or toss of coins.

13) In any case of same points during group stages, all 3 contestant
will qualify for knockout stage.

14) Any contestant who TAUNT / CRITIC / PROVOKE their opponent will also be disqualified.
Taunting ingame is allow of course !!!

15) Registration form not completed will also be disqualified.

i keep getting an error notice saying that the service is temporarily unavailable, please try again later.

but then when i tried to browse www.microsoft.com to download the latest version of window live messenger, i cant seems to browse into it, keep failing, other microsoft website also not working, but website like facebook or friendster works like normal, wats the problem?

Modem: Previously used Aztech DSL605EW and now using Belkin G Wireless Modem Router (Model not stated on the box.)

Firewall used: I don't know lol

Problem details
First occurence of problem: This problem has been around after 2 weeks i used automatically connection (the one that type 192.168.1.1 to connect to internet, but its automatic.)
Problem frequency: The problem would happen when i use Xunlei (Thunder 5) to download things from internet. I tried using another of my comp (wireless connection) to download while my comp is closed, it goes smoothly but sometimes the light stopped blinking.
Problem description: I don't know what should i write here.

Its been a while since i last post a topic in here, heres the story...

I get to know this girl from one of my best fren, lets name him as C, while the girl will be named as B, before i get to know B, B and C are very very close fren, at first i thought they were coupled but recently i found out she already had a bf in kl (not C), me and B are able to get along very easily as shes a very friendly girl, most of the time i used some simple joke to joke with her, and after we know each other for about a month, i started to have some feel to her, but i din tell her about that, so i tried to make move by giving some signal, but then she noticed it and she treat it as a joke from me, well i doesn't feel sad about it, so i just forget about it.

Yesterday, B tells me that her bf breaks up with her, shes very very sad, she did everything just for him but her bf still wan to break with her, so i tried my best to cheer her up...and just now C told me that he argue'ed with B, i din ask why, something that makes me keep thinking about it is, C told me that hes waiting for B, i never tell C that i'm waiting for B too...

I have 3 selection now which is...
1. I don't wanna break my friendship with C, so i just step out from this and let C go on with B
2. Go on with B and don't care about the friendship.
3. Wait.

Recently i deleted my kaspersky anti virus software, and this error pop up quite often, and after i close it, it will terminate my internet connection, and i must restart my comp in order to get back my connection, when i press "send report", it said that malacious softwares attacked my comp, but i tried AVG to scan my computer, nothing detected...so i need help now, thanks.

The CPL ran ground breaking Quake tournaments in the early years and featured some of the greatest Quake action to take place. However, when Counter-Strike was released it was featured as a side game that grew in popularity, eventually replacing Quake and marking the first community to be victimized by the CPL's vision.

"The Cyberathlete Professional League today announced the cancellation of August's Counter-Strike Tournament and October's Quake III Arena Tournament. With the exception of a yearly charity event, the CPL will now only hold a minimum of two large-scale tournaments a year with cash purses of at least $150,000 each. This revised approach to competitive gaming in the United States promises to yield stronger growth for the CPL through consolidated efforts. ... The CPL held its next large scale Quake event in December of 2005.

From 2001-2004 the CPL was the acknowledged front runner in eSports. In the early part of this period the CPL teamed up with Turtle Entertainment, the folks behind ESL, to put on CPL events in Europe. All of these events were extremely popular and when they stopped, it ended an era of constant CPL competition. Throw in the CPL canceling a winter 2004 COD tournament and the slide begins.

"In Season 2004, the CPL will certify a series of qualifying tournaments in 40 countries that will culminate with two Final Events in the USA: Summer 2004 and Winter 2004. Fast forwarding to 2005, the CPL revitalized its global vision by creating the first ever global gaming tournament, the CPL World Tour. For the game they picked the critically acclaimed and widely played game Painkiller. By widely played I mean by 25 people. While the CPL World Tour was interesting to watch, made quite a few people wealthy (albeit delayed), and gave eSports a lot of exposure, it also reinforced something about CPL's mindset. Not only that but the CPL's Summer Event was scheduled for the exact same time as ESWC and originally had CS:Source headlining the event. The CPL later came to their senses and re-added 1.6.

"The CPL announced today that it will hold a $50,000 Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament at the Cyberathlete Extreme Summer Championships to be hosted July 6 - July 10, 2005 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas. ... While the CPL is committed to Counter-Strike:Source, a large number of Counter-Strike teams remain loyal to CS 1.6 and have asked for an opportunity to compete at the summer event. The CPL realizes that many of those teams have given years of patronage to its events and has responded by offering them a CS 1.6 tournament," said the CPL in an April 2005 news post.

2006 was to be a banner year for the CPL with Quake 4 and CS to be part a new world tour or season or series, whichever term they planned on tacking to this event to make it sound 'revolutionary.' Yet sponsor trouble and the creation of the WSVG, lead to the death of the CPL World Whatever in 2006.

"The entire business model of the World Tour has been changed for 2006 and in fact we are referring to it as the "CPL World Series." Currently we are commencing our discussions with potential partners that want to hold qualifying tournaments for Counter-Strike 1.6 and Quake 4 in different world regions. If an event organizer is interested in participating in our new 2006 project it would be best for them to contact the CPL's League Commissioner Justin Blanchard. There are a number of requirements and Justin will be managing the initial selection process for CPL," said Angel Munoz in an interview with Gotfrag.

A bastardized CPL World Season took place at the end of 2006 which qualified teams for the CPL's winter event in 2006. The winter 2006 event was one of the better events that year, but apparently this was not enough to retain their high powered sponsors (the ATi and AMD logos are no longer on the CPL site).

"During the event CPL's President Angel Munoz and Vice-President Kimberly Vizurraga had long meetings with about 20 companies that are either current sponsors or are interested in becoming sponsors of the CPL. The comments received were exceptional and not one sponsor complained about the Championship Finals or the choice of games ... It's puzzling to us that some people are trying to cast doubt about the CPL's ability to choose games independently. Our sponsors recognize that these decisions are best left to the league," said Chris Moncivalles, the CPL League Commissioner, to GamingJunky at the beginning of this year.

This brings us to today. Left with no options and no way out the CPL has chosen two games that no one, even less than those who played Painkiller, care about. This once storied eSports pioneer has hit the proverbial iceberg and went down with the band still playing. Let us remember what once was and not what is.
