A former portfolio manager for an investment fund founded by financier George Soros sexually abused women at a Manhattan penthouse dungeon, according to a $27 million Brooklyn federal suit.

Howie Rubin, 62, whose high-stakes dealing was featured in the best-selling books “Liar’s Poker” and “The Big Short,” rented the lavish Metropolitan Tower pad in Midtown to indulge in brutal sex with women whom he paid between $2,000 and $5,000 per session, according to the suit filed Thursday.

The three unidentified plaintiffs in the case — including two Playboy Playmates — claim the married father raped and beat them to the point that they needed extensive medical attention, court papers say.

At the $8 million penthouse, they were shown to a side room featuring ropes, chains and sex toys along with other BDSM equipment.

Rubin gagged, tied up and viciously abused the women — even punching one in the head, the suit filed by civil lawyer John Balestriere said.

“I’m going to rape you like I rape my daughter,” Rubin barked during one of the alleged assaults.

In one session, he beat one of the women’s “breasts so badly that her right implant flipped,” the papers state.

The former Bear Stearns trader paid her $20,000 to repair the damage.

One plaintiff was tied up, gagged and shocked with a cattle prod in her groin before Rubin allegedly raped her, according to the filing.

Rubin — who collaborated with two female fixers and a lawyer — had the women sign non-disclosure agreements, the papers state.

The trio sought to “cover up Rubin’s sexual misconduct and criminal abuse of women and to serve as a cover for his wide-ranging human trafficking scheme,” wrote Balestriere.

A lawyer for one of the women blasted Rubin’s alleged conduct.

“While arrogance and self-import may convince certain men otherwise, neither money nor power gives any person the right to victimize a woman,” said Jeremy Saland.

Rubin declined to comment on the suit when reached by phone Thursday.

Rescued a kitten.

Rescued a siamese male long haired kitten.

Very friendly, trying to approach anyone near him. Looks like easy meat or victim for dogs and larger territorial cats.

Neighbours were trying to drive it away because it keeps trying to go to them.

I managed to put it in a box and send to a vet. Diagnosis is some fleas and respiratory infection aka cat flu (easily treated)

Luckily for the kitten, vet's nurse was just looking to adopt a cat. She was delighted to see this kitten and instantly adopted him on the spot.

I didn't spend a single cent for the rescue, all i did was connect the kitten to his new owner.

Looks like all the timing and place was right for the kitten. Not sure if he would've been as lucky if he wasn't a sought after breed.

I couldn't keep him because my place already have 2 grown up females and they might not take kindly to new company and I have no time to introduce them. Also because keeping 2 cats is already quite expensive (on the cat litter, I don't let my cats shit/pee anywhere)

Team formed to combat illegal online gambling

KUALA LUMPUR: A task force has been formed to look into illegal online gambling even as district police chiefs here are given a month to track and take down the dens.

City police chief Comm Datuk Mazlan Lazim said this move was made following the Inspector-General of Police’s call to combat illegal gambling dens in the country.

“IGP has spoken and now, it is up to us to show the results.

“I have already spoken with my OCPDs and told them they have to show me results in a month,” he said after witnessing the handing over ceremony of the City Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief at the City Traffic Police headquarters here yesterday.

A task force equipped with the latest technology, said Comm Mazlan, had been set up to look into these online gambling dens.

“In the past, we found that the syndicates would hide from us as soon as they learnt of our operations. This task force will work undercover and make sure that the operators have nowhere to hide.

“So, don’t be surprised if you look over your shoulder and see us making arrests,” he said, adding that the latest technology would be used to sniff these syndicates out.

“We cannot divulge much on the special task force and its equipment but we will arm it with the necessary tools to take down these syndicates,” he said.

Corey Feldman says former actor Jon Grissom, who starred with him and Corey Haim in two films, sexually molested him as a child.

The accused man, whose name is often misspelled as "John Grissom," has not commented.

For years, since Feldman's book was released, people had speculated that "Ron Crimson" was Grissom.

"We had to change the names legally," Feldman told Oz. "The lawyers made me change the names. ... They gave me a list of three or four, you know, names. I picked the one that sounded closest to his name."

GEORGE TOWN: Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng (pic) is facing a backlash for saying he would offer a wheelchair or crutches to MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

Penang MCA said Lim should at least respect his position as a chief minister before uttering such words.

Its chairman Datuk Tan Teik Cheng said Lim who later declared he was “just joking” was simply trying to mask his vicious words.

“His language is not surprising. His slurs do not bring any benefit to him and anyone,” Tan added in a statement yesterday.

Meanwhile, Penang Front Party demanded that Lim apologise to Liow and the disabled community.

Its president Datuk Patrick Ooi said that as a public figure and leader, Lim has to be mindful of the words he uses.

“His remark is a curse in Chinese custom and it should not be taken lightly,” said Ooi, adding that Lim was being insensitive to wheelchair-bound people.

At a DAP dinner in Seremban on Oct 28, Lim said the many announcements for the Chinese community in Budget 2018 came to nothing and pointed the finger at MCA.

He was quoted by a Chinese daily that if he had met Liow in the corridors of Parliament after the tabling of the Budget, he would have offered him a wheelchair or crutches to help him through the “last mile”.

Woman succumbs to injuries after jumping out of moving car following argument with boyfriend

KOTA KINABALU: A woman jumped out of a moving car on the Papar road some 38km from here and later succumbed to her injuries after arguing with her boyfriend last Friday (Oct 29).

It is learnt that the 20-year-old woman got to know the man, an engineer in his 30s, through the social messaging application WeChat about two months ago.

Papar police chief Deputy Supt Ladamah Sulaiman said the man was nabbed in Sipitang, about 134km from here, at about 9.15am on Monday (Oct 30).

"We managed to track him down following witness accounts," he said during a press conference Tuesday evening.

He said investigations revealed that the couple were travelling in a four-wheel-drive vehicle from Kota Kinabalu to Papar prior to the incident.

"During the journey, we believe they got into an argument," he said.

DSP Ladamah said the man is suspected to have been drunk at that time.

As they neared a junction, she jumped out of the moving car and sustained severe injury to her head.

"The suspect left the woman by the roadside and sped off, but witnesses managed to take down the vehicle's plate number," he said.

DSP Ladamah said the victim was sent to the Hospital Papar by witnesses during the 11.30pm incident.

However, after she was transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday morning, she succumbed to her injuries.

"The suspect was arrested as his actions might have led to her death," DSP Ladamah said.

The suspect is under remand to allow an investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
