help me choose which laptop to buy

currently im looking to buy a new laptop after using my old surface pro 4 for 5 years ( in between got a replacement unit due to hardware defect : flickering so screen which is a common defect seen in this particular model )

i mainly use for
- online classes
- read / make notes and presentation
- web browsing
- photo editing
- video editing (6-12 videos a year )

prefer it to be light and not noisy ( fan ) , battery life is not really a concern , i just want to be able to perform all above without major performance issue

budget is around 5k

tbh im very frustrated with my previous laptops : first gen xps ( overheating issues ) , surface pro 4 screen issues

actually now im looking at apple laptops but im afraid i cant adapt to the OS .

any suggestions guys ? thank you in advanced .
