Somehow my kompeni kena Lockbit 2.0 ransomware...

Just out of curiosity while our IT team and legal handles this,

Anyone kena before this? What are the possible solutions here and is it a one time thing(maybe being a little too optimistic here lol)?

How much they ask for as well hmm? I read up about this online and looks like gg no way round unless give up our files(hopefully backup frequently enough) and start fresh.

Lastly, this probably inside job yes?

Tq /k.

Pay finish car loan earlier

If let's say I suddenly have the cash to pay off fully my car loan, is it advisable to do so?

I have a 9 year car loan at 3.41%. This means if my car is rm35k otr, at the end of 9 years I'll be actually paying about 10k more thus rm45k.

I have already completed paying 3 years, 6 years to go.

Will i get some sort of discount to reduce further that 10k loan interest incurred? If yes, is it still worth it to pay it off?

Still worth to stay at current job?

Hi all. I'm in this manufacturing company for 3 years now and it's my first job. I've moved up pretty quickly by being promoted twice in the past 2 years. Now titled senior but I don't feel so. I feel like I'm being promoted for the sake of it because young blood is very very scarce in this company and for continuity sake of the company I am treated pretty well to make me want to stay? I do however put my very best and think for the betterment of the company.

Anyway that isn't the main point. My main point is that this company while the working culture is pretty good (less politics and so on), its in a loss making state for 5 over years.

I'm in production where my machines are over 30 years old and 50% of the workers are over the age of 50 years old nearing retirement. Those who are retiring are not being replaced.

It's the same case throughout the entire organization, recruitment freeze. Top management keep pushing onward on cost cutting and new strategies in order to achieve profit but I'm lacking the support and manpower to achieve it.

I just don't think I can manage or handle it anymore. 4 managers have left and no replacement, my fellow colleagues in production have been reduced (due to illness) with no replacement, my supervisors and workers have left either due to retirement or illness (also with no replacement).

Past 3 months has been really stressful. Working extra hours without pay, covering my colleagues who have left the company. Sacrificing family time. All this while still thinking about my sections performance. Can't really focus on something. It's daily fire fighting, catering for this and that. Time moves fast though.

Everything is falling apart. Man, machine, material, method. However if this company do turn around, it'll be worthwhile I think? I'm the only one staying behind from my batch that joined this company. Feel like I'm missing something.

I just can't figure out how are we actually going to be significant in the market with our current aging worker conditions and stone age technology. Fighting against competitors who have latest machinery who can deliver 3 times faster than us.

Worthwhile to stay couple more years?

Proton SC misuse customer car?

Today I went one prominent proton SC. Complaint about something and they needed long time to check and test drive. I couldn't wait so I balik dulu awhile.

Little did they know my stealth dashcam in operation the whole time. I saw everything and hear everything in cabin.

Fortunately for them, no bad things (like bad mouthing the customer or racing remarks) was heard from their conversation and they did talk about my problem and trying to solve it. Did hear many cringey singing though xD

However, during their 2nd "test drive" trip after installing something to test whether it solved the problem, happily the technician take my car for a ride and it does not look like actually testing. Drove about 30 km away to a place to pick a member up, and then stop by side stall to buy nasi lemak kukus and drinks.

What the hell, I forbid food and drinks in my car. Anyway non was spilled/dropped and no smell.

There were moments where they revved my car hard. Also there is 3 of them.

A new perspective really. If my problem is indeed settled don't think I will ever leave my car back without me in it for test drive ever again.

Not sure if want to file a complaint. Feel like I'm threatening like that lol since I got all video footage. About 80km gone from odometer. :sad:

/sekian.

Hope I don't get reported for this.

But around my area, during Muslim Friday prayers I noticed (for quite some now since forever) that 80% of them on bike otw or back from the masjid do not wear helmets and just rely on their songkok.

Maybe the distance is near but why risk it even more? Is it not seen as an issue? All close one eye? Allowed then?

Why not ride with helmet and swap with songkok after arrive destination? Why show a not so good example?

Sekian.

Hi all,

Recently I've bought this engine oil from Tesco for my new saga vvt @ only RM 79.90.

I've heard about this brand before but I thought is fake/recycled oil since so cheap & available online only.

But now I've discovered it being sold in Tesco so I can safely assume this is the real deal & will try it out.

My next oil change to this oil is around May and later on will give feedback on how it goes with this engine oil.

Currently using Syntium 800 Semi-Syn 10W-30 @ Rm106. Rarely/Never I hit 10,000km in 6 months. Usually not more than 4,000 km in 6 months (to which I still change since already 6 months). 80% city drive with stop & go traffic.

Any user here using this oil? Giving this a shot since yea fully synthetic at very good price.

[attachmentid=9598452]

[attachmentid=9598453]

[attachmentid=9598454]

Saga VVT 2016 suspension spring

So I have this issue and has been bitching about it ever since:

[YOUTUBE]ni-zczq9ero[/YOUTUBE]

Proton has yet to have an answer & I am determined to find out the root cause. I went to a car workshop & let them test drive. They heard this problem & they themselves have not hear something like this before. But they said its highly likely the suspension or stabilizer link problem. But still not sure.

Any way when they lift my car up, the right side spring looks like this:

[attachmentid=9315456]

The rear:

[attachmentid=9315458]

Looking at this looks like the spring not in place. Can this be the issue? A year ago I claimed warranty for my right side strut top mount which required the entire suspension assembly removed. I can't remember whether my this issue occur before or after he replaced the top mount.

The left side spring looks fitted nicely:

[attachmentid=9315467]

My first and last proton for sure . But I'll keep loving this one as it's my first.

Was driving & moving into a 3 lane corner coming out of a intersection & required to swerve from left most lane to right most lane. Moved into the left most lane first. Then saw a blue myvi soon approaching quickly from behind. Made a quick right turn to middle lane (i can't remember whether I checked right side mirror before making that quick procedure, usually I do).

But while turning quickly i did keep my eyes onto the right side mirror. Then in a split second OH FUCK! noticed got motorcycle beside! Immediately turn steering and swerve left back albeit. I was like fuck fuck fuck could have knocked him.

He continuously horn me and I can only give a simple sorry hand raise.

On a Monday summore..

Anyway next time need pay extra close attention to that curve as I go through there quite often. Damn damn damn, can imagine if I din't notice him. He could have died. FUCKKKKKK!!!

Yes i believe its my fault. Highly likely din't see him at blind spot + changing lane too quickly. I don't usually change lane quickly but because I saw that blue myvi approaching to fast I sort of wanted to give way. My fault also

Sekian tq.
Help me identify this noise

So my new car of less than a year has this issue. It's the new proton saga vvt.

It mostly happens when cornering and over uneven bumps.
[YOUTUBE]ni-zczq9ero[/YOUTUBE]

Extensively researching shows so many possible factors such as:

1. Strut bearing
2. The entire absorber
3. Strut spring not seated properly
4. Strut mount not properly placed.
5. Engine mounting
6. Sway bar/stabilizer links
7. Tie rods
8. Cv axle/drove shaft
9. Wheel bearing.

So many

Has anyone here have this experience? Seriously mind boggling. Extensive search on Google and YouTube yet I still can't find something similar sounding.

Went to SC 4 times (soon to be 5th) and yet to find the root cause. But haven't yet replace the suspension assembly and so on.

There was once though before that the SC replaced the right strut mounting to fix thump sound when go over bumps. I can't recall this issue occurs after that replacement or before.

I will also try to share this to many other car forums in hopes to find someone with similar issue and solution.

New Saga VVT abnormal sound!

[YOUTUBE]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ni-zczq9ero[/YOUTUBE]

Can't embed -.-     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ni-zczq9ero

So I'm a owner of the new saga vvt... The car drives great but QC man... QC still haunts Proton till this very day

Among my many small issues:

1. Steering wheel a little to the left
2. Absorber making noise over humps
3. Glovebox rattle sound on uneven surface
4. Chain noise like pre-detonation at low speed at hill in gear 2 (manual car) (this could be a serious issue as well)

My issue #5 is in the video above tops the cake and it worries me. The sound to focus is when my car is at the end of the slope and making a turn. It also happens during turning and over a hump. Will hear that 'metal clunking/grinding noise'... What is the contributor to this? Bad shocks? Bad axle? Bad drive shaft? Bad bearing? Bad pivot axles? BAd bushings? Or it is normal?

I am sad that this car is not even 5 months.....

Wasing car in condo

Hi all,

I am staying in condo area so washing my car is quite a hassle due to the nearest tap is situated quite far away and my car can't be driven there.

So I am thinking of getting one of these:

[attachmentid=8355996]

Its basically a portable "pressure" washer with a tank to fill up with water.

Anyone use before? It costs not more than RM200. Wonder about its reliability

Not paying office lot maintenance fees

**not so sure where to post this topic. I've accidentally posted in finance & investment (mod can you help me delete it?) & I've posted in property forum. Maybe serious kopitiam can have some valuable insights as well .

Hi all,

I need advise/clarity on this matter. Kindly note that I am very inexperienced in this matter .

My dad married twice and I am the children to his second wife (1st wife divorced with children). He bought 2 lots of property in Klang City Square quite a number of years ago when it was launched. It can be said that it was a failed investment as the building is pretty dead now and pretty hard to rent/sell it. Furthermore, it's at the upper floors (L5 and above).

The issue is here. My dad passed away years ago (God rest his soul) and he did not leave a will behind and thus whatever property he owns is automatically split to my family and his divorced ex-wife family of up to 10 shares. This then makes selling/renting these 2 lots a nearly impossible task as my family is not even close with my dad's first family.

With the absence of my dad, my mum has to struggle hard to feed my family and cannot pay the maintenance fees of these 2 lots (we are low income family). We have discussed with the developers and they acknowledge this (although they still send the letters for payment every month).

There was a couple of times in the past that we could have sold the 2 lots at a dirt cheap price but the issue is that the ex-children of late dad is unwilling to cooperate (can't get through, AWOL). We have seek quite a number of lawyers but none so far is able to solve this problem.

The strata title of this 2 lots is still under my dad's name (only to be changed after the maintenance fees are paid off). My mum holds majority of the shares since she is the latest wife while we all the children holds 1 share each (ex-children included).

Since it's technically still under my dad's name, I believe there isn't a direct responsibility as to who is supposed to continue paying the maintenance fee (and mind you, we can't afford paying it), thus over the previous years's we place it out of sight but not out of mind (as it bugs us every month the payment letter arrives).

The maintenance fee in debt currently is around RM50k+ (more than 5 years of not paying). So my plead for help is this, how do I solve this (other than getting all his children together and talking it out)?

Should I be worried of the maintenance debt? What are the possible legal actions that they can take? We are sort of relaxing our mind by assuming they will auction the property of 2 lots and that will bury this issue.

Also note that a lot of other buyers are also not paying the maintenance fees and ignore it.

Any insights? It is very much appreciated. Any reliable lawyer that I can seek for help or willing to help? I can only hope that this building will blossom and be successful in the future and that might solve our problem but seeing the way it is now with our economy that would be a miracle .

Iriz 15 inch rim to Saga 2016

Hi all,

I'm most probably gona get the standard manual variant of the Saga 2016 which comes with 13 inch steel wheels

Initially I was thinking of replacing it with "fake" rims or at least original taiwan rims (Enkei, Lenso, etc.) but out of my budget (thus, was considering the fake cheaper rims). But since the standard variant no abs whatsoever better not get fake rims as warned by the forumers here and the internet.

Thus deciding to go for second hand iriz "bunya raya" rims. I believe it'll look nice on the new white saga with toyo nano energy 3.

Kindly view the image below on the tyre specification of these both cars from wheel-size. c o m

[attachmentid=7617588]

[attachmentid=7617589]

The issue here is I am not sure if the saga flx se 1.6 15 inch rims is the same as the iriz 15 inch rims? Using an online calculator using the saga 14 inch rim (not sure this data is correct or not as well) and with the iriz rim shows the following:

[attachmentid=7617601]

[attachmentid=7617605]

Shows that the rim will be 18.7 mm closer to the suspension strut. Is that ok? I would prefer not spending on wheel spacers as they are expensive
