Acer ED27A Monitor pair with AMD or Nvidia

I'm planning to upgrade my monitor to a 144hz Acer ED27A. I have 2 graphic cards, RX 480 8gb and also GTX 1070 8gb. Question is which should i use to pair with that freesync monitor. GTX 1070 more powerful but RX 480 works with freesync. Or is there other recommendation for monitor under RM 1k? i dont want TN panel monitor. Yes the monitor is for gaming.
