For the next 50 years, many language will abandon roman character and use Chinese character. Japanese will enhance their kanji usage and limit their hiragana usage to phonetic onli. Korean will be totally using hanja and Vietnamese Mongolian tibetan too. BM oso will start to adopt hiragana phonetic and using some kanji in sentence.

For example:
Japanese - 僕啊チョコレート噢喜好也。
Korean - 在下駐古力尔喜好啊。
Malay - 我(サヤ) 苏卡(スカ) 巧克力(チュケゥレゥ)。

Q: In every (general) election, the situation for the contesting parties is “do or die”. In the next election, is it the same?

A: The situation is different. Cracks in our society in general have become so much deeper.

In my time there was also division especially among the Malays, who belonged to different parties, but support for Umno was very strong and the general populace was more interested in supporting Umno than other parties.

Even when there were splits like when Tengku Razaleigh (Hamzah) set up the Semangat 46 party, they were not able to draw many Umno members. Datuk Seri Anwar (Ibrahim) was a bit more successful but still could not defeat Umno. That is why the BN’s (Barisan Nasional’s) victory in 1999 was still very big although there were many Malays who thought that Anwar had been persecuted and thus withdrew their support (for Umno) but the Chinese were solidly behind the BN, we still got two-thirds (majority).

But later, we got an administration that did not focus on the people’s needs, but instead they more interested in enriching themselves and things like that.

The leaders were also the same, leaders at all levels were also looking for opportunities from politics to line their own pockets. Because of this the people began to lose their trust (in the BN). But (Prime Minister) Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has taken steps to correct the situation and has somewhat succeeded.

Q: The approach adopted by Datuk Seri Najib may differ from before to reach out to the young people, is the approach working well so far?

A: There is some success but not enough because of the situation of the party, according to the people’s perception, is not so good.

Q: Perhaps there is much to be done by Datuk Seri Najib?

A: He does not have much time left, very soon there will be the general election, how much more can be done? Anytime (the general election), so we have to go down to the ground, see as many people as possible and so on, (it’s) difficult. So, it’s a problem. New problems will arise and to address these problems it will take time, and he now is running out of time. But I think he has done his best. He works very hard.

DS Najib first 100 days

His achievements were great during first 100 days tenure which contribute to 6-7% GDP growth from 2009-2012. But rakyat never appreciate it.

Things that he done in first 100 days:
1. Removal of bans on two opposition newspapers, Suara Keadilan and Harakahdaily.
2. Released 13 Hindaf people held under the Internal Security Act.
3. Scrapped 30% Bumiputera ownership requirement for investment in 27 services sub-sectors, covering health and social services, tourism services, transport services, business services and computer and related services accounting for 57 per cent of the total employment in Malaysia.
4. Raised equity in investment and Islamic banks and insurance and Takaful firms to 70% from 49%.
5. Structural reforms in the civil service to allow top posts in the public sector to become opened to persons from the private sector and government-linked companies (GLCs) in addition to existing personnel in the administrative and diplomatic service.
6. Promoted "1Malaysia" for racial harmony.
7. Announced "New Business Model" (NEM) to replace his father economic plan, NEP, and criticized it as not the better target for affirmative action.
8. Introduced "RON95" to solve the oil subsidy crisis that happened during Abdullah tenure.
9. Refocusing on public transport and announced LRT extension to USJ and Puchong which had been halted for nearly a decade.
