House wifi

Good morning guys,

I have connectivity issue with my house wifi.

Details:
1) Internet speed 1gbps
1) Wireless Dual band AC router @ Master room (ROOM1)
2) TL-WPA4220KIT.

Scenario 1: Using without powerline.
The speed is around 100-150mbps but wifi signal not strong and unstable.

Scenario 2: Using powerline at the living room
the speed can go from no internet to 25mbps max, the wifi signal is good but yet still unstable.
Even connecting the cable from the powerline to my laptop, the speed remains the same.

Am I using the wrong powerline or anyway to improve the speed and wifi signal over the house?

I'm using MSI ge40 2OC Dragon eyes whch the specs are:

I used this laptop mainly for internet browsing, video streaming and gaming(MOBA:dota2 and MMORPG:TERA/ELOA)

I still can get 60 fps for gaming but it' not on the high graphic settings.

Currently I'm think to do an upgrade to my current laptop / trade in this laptop +top up for a new PC(desktop), so can any of you advise me on which options is better for better gaming experience?

- What hardware should I change for my laptop if I opt for the upgrades?
- If not, what specs should I get for a PC with the budget for RM2000(not included the trade in)? I already have a 24"monitor & peripherals.
