In a bizarre late-night incident on Pattaya Beach Road, two Indian men allegedly touched working women inappropriately, sparking a heated confrontation.

According to people nearby, the women immediately objected to the behavior, and the situation quickly escalated into a tense argument. As tempers rose and the confrontation nearly turned physical, the working women warned the men that they were about to call the police.

Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) melumpuhkan kumpulan jenayah terancang Geng Rusaboy yang aktif melakukan pelbagai jenayah kekerasan di Kedah dan Pulau Pinang dengan penahanan 17 anggotanya menerusi OPS Tiga.

Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah (JSJ) Bukit Aman Datuk M. Kumar berkata operasi hasil kerjasama JSJ Bukit Aman, JSJ Kontinjen Kedah dan Cawangan Khas Bukit Aman menahan semua suspek lelaki berusia antara 24 hingga 42 tahun dari 27 Nov hingga 4 Dis.

“Kumpulan ini dianggotai kira-kira 35 orang yang dipimpin lelaki tempatan dikenali sebagai Rames dan aktif di Sungai Petani, Kulim serta beberapa lokasi di Pulau Pinang.

“Mereka dipercayai terlibat dalam pelbagai jenayah kekerasan termasuk rompakan, mendatangkan kecederaan parah, bunuh dan pengedaran dadah selain meminta wang perlindungan,” katanya pada sidang media di Ibu Pejabat Polis Bukit Aman, di Kuala Lumpur hari ini.

Kumar berkata polis kini giat mengesan saki baki anggota kumpulan itu termasuk Rames, 36, yang dipercayai masih berada dalam negara.

SUBANG JAYA – Seorang lelaki putus lima jari selepas diserang sekumpulan lima lelaki bersenjatakan parang dan pedang dalam kejadian di hadapan sebuah restoran di Jalan PJS 11/2, Bandar Sunway, awal pagi tadi.

Dalam kejadian kira-kira pukul 1.54 pagi itu, mangsa berusia 30 tahun bersama beberapa rakan baru sahaja selesai makan dan sedang bersiap untuk pulang sebelum didatangi sebuah kereta jenis Toyota Vios berwarna putih yang dinaiki lima suspek tidak dikenali.

Menurut Ketua Polis Daerah Subang Jaya, Asisten Komisioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, kesemua suspek yang memakai penutup muka keluar dari kenderaan lalu menyerang mangsa dan rakan-rakannya tanpa sebarang amaran.

“Mangsa tidak sempat melarikan diri ditetak dengan parang dan pedang hingga mengalami kecederaan di bahagian tangan, kaki dan badan selain lima jarinya di tangan kiri putus.

“Suspek kemudiannya melarikan diri dengan menaiki semula kereta berkenaan,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.

Katanya, mangsa telah dikejarkan ke hospital untuk rawatan lanjut.

Wan Azlan berkata, kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 326 Kanun Keseksaan (Akta 574) iaitu dengan sengaja menyebabkan cedera parah menggunakan senjata berbahaya.

Sehubungan itu, beliau memohon orang ramai yang mempunyai maklumat berhubung kejadian agar tampil membantu siasatan dengan menghubungi Pusat Kawalan Daerah Subang Jaya di talian 03-78627222 atau Pegawai Penyiasat, Inspektor Fadizah Ajamain di talian 019-8582166.

KUALA LUMPUR: The police have received 894 reports regarding the controversial statement by independent preacher Muhammad Zamri Vinoth Kalimuthu who allegedly insulted Hinduism recently, says Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.

The Inspector-General of Police said the police had recorded Zamri's statement and the investigation paper was still under review by the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC).

So far, there has been no further instruction from the AGC regarding this case," he said when contacted by Bernama Wednesday (March 12).

Commenting on the case involving three Era FM radio hosts who seemed to make fun of other religious ceremonies, Razarudin said police had not received any further instructions from the AGC.

As of March, the PDRM has opened 31 investigation papers on issues related to religion, race and royalty (3R).

"There are 17 cases related to the Royal Institution, two cases of racism and 12 cases of religion, bringing the total to 31 cases and so far, no charges have been decided by the AGC," he said.

In addition, Razarudin advised the public not to get involved in issues related to the 3Rs that could threaten national peace, public order, people's well-being, political stability, economic stability and inter-racial harmony in the country.

According to him, the 3R issue was a new war strategy that can destroy the country with only the tip of a finger.

He said the public should be more mature, not overly emotional, should filter all information, news or videos shared on social media and should not be easily influenced by information that is not yet authentic.

"Avoid writing statuses, comments, tweets, photo posts, posters or videos that are made without understanding socio-cultural factors and racial sensitivities, resulting in displeasure, insult or discord," the IGP said.

The 3R concept of Research, Responsibility and Report should be the core and should always be inculcated before sharing any information on social media as well as mutual respect and love for peace should be pinned.

He said the public should also not to be easily influenced by the agendas of certain parties who have personal agenda and interests. - Bernama

SINGAPORE: An attempt to smuggle an assortment of drugs into Singapore was foiled by the authorities on Tuesday (Jan 14) after the contraband, including more than 4.6kg of cannabis, was detected at Woodlands Checkpoint.

The 4,648g of cannabis, 542g of Ice and 250 Erimin-5 tablets were found in an arriving Malaysia-registered motorcycle, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) said in a joint news release on Thursday.

ICA officers were conducting further checks on the motorcycle ridden by a 21-year-old Malaysian man when they uncovered a black bundle from the front fairing of the vehicle..

JOHOR BARU: A factory operator claimed trial at a Magistrate’s Court here to drink driving which resulted in the death of a teenager.

L. Satish Kumar, 25, pleaded not guilty when he was charged before Magistrate A. Shaarmini yesterday.

According to the charge sheet, the accused was driving an SUV with a blood alcohol content of 173mg per 100ml and caused the death of a 17-year-old motorcyclist.

The incident allegedly took place at KM41 Jalan Johor Baru-Gelang Patah-Pendas, at 12.15am on June 16.
