first of all, I know the title is silly but I have no choice. I need someone to read this.
I just want to vent. sry!

here goes:-

I'm just a normal teenage girl that will be 20 soon & I live in a kampung area.

An average student and I want to continue study in University but unfortunately my parent doesn't want me to study.
So my parents and I are often arguing about studies and work. The parents want me to work at overseas because can earn alot of money
to find like a menial job. because that's what they did when they were my age. They worked in some factory, all kinds of odd jobs in Singapore, Australia, Japan. Back in 1980's. That is one of the fucking reasons they gave me. they save up a lot of $$ there.

According to my parent, nowadays those bosses/managers want to hire young people like me. They want to send me and my other younger cousin to Australia.
I know my cousin earns approximately AUS4000?? as a chef. and when converted to myr then it's a lot of money.
when i told them that my cousin has no choice since he's 30 and wants to get married, he HAS to. he doesn't care if he had to wake up at 5am and work until 11pm. He doesn't care cuz he has a gf waiting for him

then my parent asked "is money not important to you then? So money isn't important for you?"

I feel defeated.

BEFORE we were having this conversation, BEFORE she encountered whoever that said working overseas now is very good, she agreed to let me continue my degree. Then she changed her freaking mind.

I just feel like I need somebody. SOMEBODY to talk to her. Someone adult. I personally think that one of the reasons she wants me to work because of her friends. she is influenced by them definitely... Most of her friends's children are around late 20's and already working. Some even has their own kids. fyi, my mom is desperate for grandchild. i started to think that she is being selfish.........

I'm confused. I already decided which Uni i want to go. it's not very expensive Uni. i can apply ptptn.. fml.

QUESTIONS....

What kind of advice would you offer? How to talk to my mother and make her understand that this is twenty fucking first century. She just cares about MONEY.
Money is important yes, but...............is it a good mindset?

i have a brother and he's planning to quit his studies to work and support me. he is planning to talk thru my mom when he comes back next month.
it's just the two of us.
I can tell mom trusts him.
but I feel bad and guilty if he does that.......plus he told me he'd been wondering about quitting his Master's cuz it's stressful as well.

We argued, we cried, we did so much, we stressed a lot. just us and other close friends knew that. We vent to our friends the most. Mom doesn't know about all these at all. She doesn't know we've been feeling like shit ... It's hard.
i know she wouldn't really care much anyway...It's really hard to talk to her.

Then I started to question myself whether i should just work instead of studying.. i feel like i'm a burden to them... work for my brother and mom's sake...
but my brother insisted me to continue studying. Degree is important, he said.

& I have a feeling that my parent's mindset can be changed. I just don't know how. only my brother can talk to her.. but i really don't know. I do not want him to quit.

I honestly don't know.

my friend is planning to take Bachelor of Education (Hons) (Dual Degree) at SEGI KOTA DAMANSARA.

Has anyone taken the course before? Is it great? popular? please PM thx!

Do they offer TESL as well?

1. How much does it cost overall?

2. Never been to SEGI before. How's the environment there?

3. Lecturers performance?

4. Can we easily find any food stall outside?

5. Do you know any nearest language center?
