ASUS download OS update without permission

Anyone else experience this? I got an ASUS GO and just recently a message appeared asking me to install an update that had been downloaded!? It's not a shady message from some website because I'm able to dismiss it and it re-appeared when I check in Settings > System Update. Plus, I've disabled the system auto-update.

Furthermore I'm on data!! I'm not sure how much data was consumed but I'm guessing less than 50MB based on last data balance check.

Which smartphone has the least bloatware?

Hey guys, in your experience which smartphone comes with the least amount of bloatwares? I'm talking about the ones that can't be uninstall without rooting the phone.

I'm thinking of getting a new phone and Samsung is off my list for their shitty softwares. I have an Asus which isn't that great either, it has some permanent apps that need to be disabled rather than uninstall.

Mind sharing your experience? Thanks.
