is it worth it to buy a 2nd hand Compaq laptop which :

all info that i have the laptop is a bit tear off,i mean the outer skin of the lappy...

As the title above,i got another lappy which is from Dell,for working purpose.Few weeks back it keep on crash,i dun know what the problem also,but everytime i surf internet it'll crash,i mean turn the screen to blue... i can still restart it back and open it using safe mode.But yesterday,it's crash again and this time it die liao...cannot open at all,no safe mode no nothing absolutely nothing... I did called my friend who'd happen to own a PC shop but guess what?He said i need to send it to the factory?what?Im a noob i know absolutely nothing about computer please help...Is there any other way? thanks in advance

i dunno if this the right place for me to ask,but if it's not,mod please move it to where it shud be..

i have lot's of midi files and of course for personal used..now i need to convert them to mp3 so that i can burn them into CD..which have been succesful the problem is now,i need to edit the song first as it's have that stupid lead sound...i dun know what u call it as im not a musician,i used to have ppl do that for me,but now i need to do it myself..and it's urgent as i need it to be done before friday please help if u know what i mean i need a software name that will be able to edit either mp3 or the midi help!!

external hard disk problem

hello guys,please help me ASAP as i need to use my external hard disk now...the problem is everytime i plug in my external hard disk to my laptop,my laptop will goes to the dumping screen (blue screen). noticed jerking sound from my external hard disk, does it mean that its faulty? can i send it for repair without damaging the data inside? please help .

Some files in my laptop are infected by this virus called trojan horse,if im not mistaken,but i already put it under quarantine...Does it effect my other files or my laptop?please help..
