NCD and Insurance Refund Question

Hi All sifus and Gurus,

The story begin when I trade in my current car to upgrade to bigger family car. Due to some circumstances that force me to get new car, so I take a move to upgrade to a better, bigger and suite to be my family car as my family get bigger (incoming 2nd baby this March 2016). As I only have 1 car for my family, I need to settle the trade in and get the new car simultaneously ( mean no time in between I can handover the car to wait the new car ) as current car is the main transportation ( send my toddler to nurseries, grocery shopping, wifey daily driver to office ). So I make everything in the shortest time.

So to buy new car, I need to transfer the NCD from my current car which is already 55% to the new car. But due to uncertainty and need to settle the new car delivering fast, we did not take into account the NCD at the first place during the calculation of the new car price. As my Sales Advisor advise that we just proceed and transfer the NCD later on after all the owner ship of current car and my new car registered only transfer the NCD and the refund together. The NCD refund around RM2.5k, so budget using this refund to tint and accessories.

That is the NCD part, the next thing bothering me is the Insurance refund. I just renewed my current car on August, so now is November, should be I can get he Insurance refund for the rest of the one year ( August to November is 3 month, so another 9 month refund ) that I pay am I right?

The main question is, how long the refund will settle? I still using the same Insurance company as the previous car which is Etiqa Takaful, from the same dealership as my previous car. If I not mistaken, to transfer the NCD within same company wouldn't take long. Correct me if I am wrong.
