Bookshelf speakers for EDM

Dear /k sifus, I am looking for a set of active bookshelves to listen to EDM music, budget 3-4k, can be less if lower priced speakers can give 80% of the performance.

This is for a studio apartment with a size of ~450sq ft with the TV cabinet in the middle. The speakers will be placed on the cabinet about 1m apart, 30cm from the rear wall, 3-4m to the sofa.

Any recommendations? Will speakers like the airpulse a300 sound worse when playing EDM as they are designed for different genres? Are loudspeakers better suited? I don’t need terribly loud volume or bass but just something that sounds good. Currently using R1280db and not satisfied.

Physics behind shifting to Neutral in Auto trans.

To my knowledge, when the vehicle comes to a stop and is in 'D', the torque converter is the one that gets stressed, not the engine or the gearbox. When we come to a stop while in D, all that happens is that the torque converter continues to spin. This stress however is easily absorbed because the torque converter is a fluid coupling, which would mean that all we are incurring is extra oil pressure.

However, when we change from D to N and back to D again after the light turns green, the clutch packs have to be engaged which causes wear and tear, multiplied by the number of stops we make.

I might be wrong, so do advice, discuss!

All I know is that shifting from N to D while the vehicle is not stationary will destroy your transmission, seen many drivers doing this. e.g. Lights red so you start to slow down and shift to neutral instantly, suddenly green light, car haven't stop back to D. The transmission in this case has to match the road speed using the clutch packs and the difference between them is just too big, ultimately turning the gears into powder.

JUST TO CLARIFY, this is only applicable for transmission with torque converters, which is present on most cars however. Someone has mentioned that a proton CVT uses a start-up clutch, this is an outlier, if you have a proton with a CVT, change to N as I'm not sure how a start up clutch works.

On another note, Honda city CVT latest model has a torque converter, so do your research before following the advice above!

Fuel economy is overrated.

Honestly why all the unker and aunties buy car see fuel economy The fuel economy stated by manufacturers are actually based on lab data and in the real world. Depending on your driving style, a car with a higher listed fuel economy might actually perform worse in the real world

Lets take a worst case scenario and compare the fuel savings between 2 cars.

Travel Distance: 25000km/year, I'm pretty sure most ktards will not even get close to this value unless either always drive go holiday or opis super far away.

Car 1: 2014 Honda City (7.1litre/100km)
Total fuel consumption: 1775l
Price of RON95: RM1.85
Fuel cost: RM3283

Car 2: 2012 Proton Saga (8.9litre/100km)
Total fuel consumption: 2225
Fuel cost: RM4116

Values obtained from fuelly. Used worst value for saga and best value for city.

Bonus: BMW 325i e90 (11litre/100km)
Total fuel consumption: 2750
Fuel cost: RM5087

Only rm833/year saved city vs saga, you guys think its worth it? BR1M RM400 only u all also kecoh dam little. Plus don't forget to add in maintenance cost etc. This is a comparison between one of the most efficient vehicle in its segment and the car all ktards hantam. If we were to compare similar segments/drivetrain, like elantra vs city vs vios vs mazda etc. how?

Europeans might think this is a big problem, as they have really cheap cars and expensive fuel, meaning that the fuel cost per year can account for a quarter of the cost of the car, but we have cheap fuel and expensive car, so no point trying to compare fuel economy.

MY CAR VERY FUEL SAVING AH Sekian.
