Honda Jazz Hybrid - Brake Pads replacement

Hi guys, I just bought a 2nd hand Honda Jazz Hybrid but unfotunately the brakes can be a bit noisy (high pitched sound whistling-type kind of sound)

I was told by some friends that the sound is most probably being caused by the brake pads.

I am just wondering is it better for me to replace the brake pads at any official HONDA Service Centre or should I just replace it at any tyre shop?

Roughly how much will it cost me to replace all brake pads? (or if the brake discs are at fault, how much will it cost to replace the brake discs?)
