This is kopitiam, so pretty much a place to care and share? Anyway, by way of introduction, I'm from Singapore and I recently chanced upon this wonderful and insanely addictive Lowyat.net forum of Malaysia. Awesome stuff here.

If you don't mind, I could start a thread here to post my V Logs and other interesting videos. Have fun!

For a start, some V Logs from 2016. My V Logs feature plenty of food and local (Singapore) news. Hopefully they are of interests to the bros and sis here.

V Log 1st Jan 2016 - Happy New Year! and running the in rain.

V Log 2nd Jan 2016.
Singapore Airlines Business Class to Moscow

I fly to Moscow and back within a few days, for a short but most fascinating experience. Singapore Airlines operates a daily flight to Houston via Moscow. I would be flying the Singapore-Moscow leg, and on return the Moscow to Singapore leg. For this trip, I will be flying in Business Class.

Flight SQ 62 scheduled departure from Singapore Changi was 0225hrs, wee hours of the morning. Alighting at the Terminal 3 concourse, number 5 gate, leads you directly to the Business Class check-in section.

This check-in section was rather empty that evening. Check-in was very quick, under 3 minutes. Going to Russia requires a Visa and the check-in staff was trying to find the visa on my passport. She had to flip through my passport a few times, but it was definitely there. Otherwise, there would be no Moscow trip for me.

This full sized X-wing craft was on display, close to the gates to the restricted area. The exhibit was closed for the evening, but plenty of people taking photos. There was also a 80% scale model of a TIE Fighter at Terminal 2, and I was quite tempted to go over to T2 to check it out, but I didn't.

Here is a video I made of the X-wing. It was a crowd favourite. People rushing to the restricted area would stop, take out their cameras and start taking photos/selfies/wefies... you name it.

The SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 3 was pretty busy at this time of the evening. This should be the evening peak, as many flights leave for Europe and other destinations in the late night and into wee hours of the morning. Still, it was not difficult to find a seat.

Singapore Airlines SQ317 London to Singapore SG50

This review is just for one flight - London Heathrow to Singapore Changi on SQ 317, in Upper Deck Economy. This was the end of our holiday in Europe. We were thrilled to be able to ride on this special Airbus A380 painted in SG50 livery. SQ has only 2 planes in her A380 fleet that are painted this way and it was quite fortuitous for us to ride in one, before they removed the SG50 livery.
