Used pre-2020 roadster or coupe

Hi, I previously drove a Proton sedan and a Suzuki SUV, and I’m currently using a Mazda 3 as my daily driver.

Compared to the Proton, the driving experience feels much more refined, which naturally led me to develop an interest in the MX-5.

However, a friend of mine insists that the MX-5 is a “girl’s car” and also overpriced locally compared to overseas markets. He’s been trying to convince me to consider the Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ instead.

I haven’t driven any of these models yet, and price-wise, there isn’t a significant difference due to the age of the cars. Also, please don’t suggest more premium brands like Porsche, as they’re out of my budget.

I’d appreciate an expert perspective on the pros, cons, and maintenance considerations for the models in this poll.

If everything by manufacturer, won't it make more sense for manufacturer to cook the data from the beginning to reduce cost?

Currently looking at used Mazda 2 and 3

Around 2-3 years
Mazda 2 around 80k
Mazda 3 around 110k

Around 10 years
Mazda 2 around 30k
Mazda 3 around 50k

Is it still worth to buy the older 1 or the hidden trouble ain't worthwhile?

Been driving various used proton since I got my license.

Currently looking for a change since all old cars start to have more issues that are expensive to repair.

Surveyed Perodua Honda and Toyota but not really to my taste or /k have any suggestions?

Likely to only consider EV 5 years down the road with more mature infrastructure and probably cheaper car due to proton and Perodua protection and also battery process breakthrough.

Would like some inputs from /ktards.

1. China ODM
Have an offer from the company but delay the acceptance response to next week.
The company set up a branch locally around 3-4 years ago and will be assigned to audio product such as speaker and earbuds.
Require business travel which may last months.
Company culture more local but HQ prefer China style and efficiency.
Hearsay previous workers had some disagreement with HQ and left.

2. Intel
Had an interview previous week and another round of interview this week.
Position will be part of a newly set up team.
May not have the decision made by the time need to give above response.

Which will you guys choose or should I push my luck to wait for 2nd?

Just saw SG airdropped over cost aids which can be done simpler and more efficient.

Actually why don't corporate and government auto deduct Muslim salary and optional for nons for RM100 to aid brother and sister in Palestine?

Assuming 30 millions population and divide half to account for elderly and underage. With majority Muslim around 70% we'll have 10.5 millions and a total of RM1.05 billion.

Budget around 3k. Usage probably watch videos, some light coding and old games like elder scrolls. Preferably light and thin since I may be carrying company laptop around too. A temporary replacement for my old win7 desktop.

Was looking at onyx v but YouTube review shatter any remaining thought.

Pick up guitar lesson last few months.

First purchase was a RM 150 acoustic guitar which had been laying around since I found Yamaha classical guitar G231 II lurking in the house.

1. Was wondering if C40 II is an upgrade compare to G231 II?

2. Also any recommendation on vintage acoustic guitar with solid spruce around or less than F310 price?

Currently looking at CG182S and FS830 but either guitar will take a huge dent in my saving.
Most probably will downgrade to C40 II or preferably F310.

However, as a tourist the alipay max reload is limited.

Is it worth getting a cc with union pay considering its usage outside China and is it hard to get 1?

Lol just heard from my brother matriculation will bank in around RM800 every ~~month~~ semester.

No wonder all PTPTN borrowers not interested to payback because free education already in the mindset while nons refinance house sell car so that their children can get tertiary education.

PS: Verified the bank in part but pretty sure matriculation and mara different thing.
