Contract Position

A friend of mine has a situation that I am hoping LYN community able to assist. Here goes: -

I would say his nature of work is similar to self-employed people whereby he was requested to setup a company by his recruiter and the recruiter company will pay him monthly depending on the man hours he worked for recruiter client. Similar to paying to the vendor or supplier and this also means he will not having any EPF, SOCSO, leaves, benefit and etc.

The above is not the real issue because he aware of this before he signed the contract but what becoming his problem is, this recruiting company is not being responsible whenever he have concern or question need clarification.

When he contacted the recruiter, they even have said don’t call them again. So I would like to seek for your assistant, how should he bring this matter forward i.e. do he need to bring this matter to government authority? If yes which body?

Recover data from crashed HDD

How you do? A friend of mine hard disk crashed and he have important data to retrieve from this disk. Is there companies in Malaysia that give data recover services for crash HDD?

Which one better demand for present and future?

Hi all,

My future looks very dim if I continue with my present lifestyle thus I need to take drastic change.

I have in mind 3 fields that I have interest in venturing namely Agriculture, Automotive and Contraction. Although I have lack knowledge in them, I believe I can work hard to achieve this dream.

Therefore I am posting here seek for all your inputs in planning field to step into. Which department/field that has present and future needs?

Could not list address from LDAP

Hi All,

I couldn't list address book records in SquirrelMail from LDAP. LDAP is working fine as I can list the records from ldapsearch. Following are the details of my server: -

. IMAP Server: uw-imap
. PHP: php-4.1.2-7.1.6
. Webserver: apache-1.3.19-5
. Platform: Redhat 7.1
. SquirrelMail version: 1.4.4-0.1.7.x

Kindly advice the additional information needed.
