Hi there all,

Just got myself a used Persona (as title) few days ago. Being a previous manual transmission user of Kancil and Wira, getting to used to auto gear shifting is not easy as some people may think of it. I am googling around and there are so many tips and opinions which returning me to more confusion about when to press the knob. Really need some advice here.

Persona auto is having P, R, N, D, 3, 2 and L
I am need to press the knob from P > R > N > R > P, but there is some 'expert' saying that R > N > R no need to do so, is this true?
N > D > N no need to press the knob.
D > 3 > 2 and L, need to press the knob but I did see one of my friend who drove the older Ixora just shift it without pressing the knob. Which one is correct actually?

Dell warranty

Got a question on this what about warranty from Dell, those who used to deal with warranty registration do assist in giving opinion please, thank you.

Just bought a new Dell S2415H from Sri Computer just before the last hari raya. Received the item, everything was ok. As what the salesman asked before, I need to register the warranty by myself which is not a problem with that.
The problem is that now, the service tag no sticked at the rear cannot be registered. Upon checking it was registered under U2717D and the warranty already expired.

Have few discussions with Dell CS, they promised to look into the matter and the problem will be escalate to the internal team as they have no idea why the same service tag no to serve 2 different model as it should a special to be served to each differently. Things should resolved between 24 to 48 hrs during workdays but now almost 2 weeks already without any news from them. I already attached the image of service tag, express service code, serial no as well the receipt from Sri Computer.

However still a good news, they assured me that the receipt will be honor to serve a warranty in case anything happen and the warranty is 3 years from the date of purchased. But I just don't feel a good thing, they unable to trace their product despite some infos given.

Hotlink Fast without voice service

Hi Maxis / Hotlinks,

As per the title, is it possible to disable the voice service for Hotlink i.e not able to receive and make calls. The sim activity is mainly only for the internet which is similar to telco's wireless broadband.

Reasons:-
- Already have the other sim that is mainly for voice calls and sms.
- Prefer to have more privacy of not receiving any annoyance calls from the agencies.

I know any LTE mifi devices in the market is not voice capable, but it will be quite hassle to bring 2 devices in the pocket all the time. Moreover the price is not cheap.

Androids, need some hands here.

Just got myself a Lenovo A889, the device is rooted by app superuser by chainDD. From the changelog, the last latest version is the year 2012, no longer maintained I believe, except the paid one.

Now the problem is, this bleedy root not recognised every apps I need to run, not able to install CWM, gravitybox, xposed, mobileuncle tool etc and due to that I am stucked for not able to tweak my device. Some apps shows my device rooted and some don't

This superuser also could not to be updated if I tap to update it, it stop downloading manifest for the whole day. I am thinking to un-root this an replace it to other root such as kinguser or any other friendly root apps.

Is there any way to un-root the current without needed to flash the ROM?

Mobile broadband utilization

I am need some advise here about unlimited broadband. If am going to subscribe to the unlimited package, and the utilization is not so heavy, most probably for email, whatsapps, google+ and maybe wechat and facebook, some light internet browsing via an android device 24x7 What is optimum capacity suited per month to the above, 100MB, 500MB, 1GB or more?

Any opinions appreciated, thanks

I see the TM HyppTV discussions mostly divided and scattered allover to Unifi and Streamyx 8mbps or 4mbps threads in network and broadband category. Due to the home entertainment IPTV feature it has, I believe this is the correct place to discuss and share.

I am just opt for this service for 8mbps user, and activated not more than a week ago. Not much I know about about hypptv compared to our friends of unifi that already into hypptv since 2010? I am given a STB unit under Huawei brand EC6106V5 which is run by android.

I got few questions here, feel free to share with others too. I am on trial basis as if this trial ended I am only able to watch free 17 channels. Currently under this trial am still getting to watch all 64 channels.

1- How long this trial lasts from the 1st day of activation, some said 30 days and some said 60 days.
2- I am thinking to opt for Platinum and Sports Pack at RM30 + RM 30, so the next bill will be RM160 + 60 which will be RM220. It really worth it?
3- For the unit itself, I am find difficult to switch off it, do you experience the same?

Is my AVR normal?

Guys, especially the Neuropower users

I bought Neuropower AVR 1000va last July, the unit actually working normally i.e switched on, waiting for 6 sec delaying mode and working after that (output power distribute successful at 230v)

Now after few recent weeks, the power distributed straight away without completing the 6 secs delaying as before. However from the digital meter shown, I am still having the intended output voltage and the unit is working.

Just want to know if power been distribute out under the 6 second is actually sorts of faulty? or it is normal behavior as nothing malfunction happened so far.

Guys and gurus,

Lately the TNB intake power into my house during peak hours at 7pm to 11pm is so annoying, especially to my PC. Due to that it tends to restart each time if power lacks of juice to my PSU.

Now, I am going to get an UPS/AVR to solve the matter, but the best budget unit that I got around in my place is Sensonic V800, check it here http://www.sensonic-global.com/v800.html After read some thoughts, the V800 is actually can't support my hardware, do check my siggy for details.

I wonder how much wattage max this v800 could deliver?

PC keep on restarting

Ok guys, here's the story. Refer to my sig for rig

My PC keep on restarting for unknown reasons, it happened about a month already. Occurred few seconds or minutes during boot, BIOS or OS. Sometime OK for hours without restarting.

Suspected the memory module, already change the stick to a new one and check all the 4 slots, checked - problem persists.
No bent sighted on CPU contact points whatsoever - checked, problem persists.
Already clean installed the OS - checked, problem persists.
Already test the mobo on the table by disconnecting all the parts and re-seat everything - checked, problem persists.
Already changed the HSF to the standard, the after market one due to heaviness maybe flexing the mobo - checked, problem persists.

The funny thing is, when all in good mood:-
I am able to stress the CPU, memory for few hours by Aida64 without any problem but it may gone wild again just a click in normal usage
AND obviously, all the madness happen during 7pm onward but very seldom happening during day time. Is my PSU is the culprit? or my mobo? the bad is I don't have the spare unit to test it all

What say you all? thank you

Gangs all, as above. Just got myself a new mobo from MSI. Successfully fixed into my casing, successfully powered up and can boot into my windows 7 without needed to reinstall it except for the drivers.
But after a moment I realised that I am unable to enter the BIOS as it will hang at the military class logo. Tried several times of resetting but none of the attempts successful. Some has recommended me to change the RAM as my current 1.65v RAM might be not suitable for some P67 mobo, is that possible for this kind of model?

DVD version with full of application at 4.7GB is not a small size and it might take hours or days to complete it all depending on what speed you have now.
