Heyya Guys! Hope that all the kind and loving abang-abang and kakak-kakak can help me out if you have the information regarding this topic...

so...recently the club that I'm joining in my University is organising a campus tour to NTU Singapore. It is a one day trip by the way.

Thus we are looking for a transportation service(preferably a bus, to and fro) where we can book for 40 pax from Johor CIQ to NTU Singapore...

If not is there any alternatives that can cater to a group of students having such a programme like this as mention earlier

Thanks in advance, hope that I can hear from you guys as soon as possible!

STPM...need guidance

Hello lowyat forum users! Got my STPM result...and here it is:

PA: B
Physics: B-
Chemistry: B-
Mathematics T: B-

CGPA 2.75

Now this is where the difficult part kicks in:

I would love to do Civil/Mechanical Engineering for my degree programme. So I went and did research on what are the entry requirements for these 2 courses at quansheng.org and also the official website of the public unis. Sad to say that base from the quansheng.org statistic, my CGPA do not meet the standard of getting a place to do Civil/Mechanical Engineering in MOST of the public universities. However the official website of the public unis state the otherwise...

And yes, statistics from quansheng.org are near perfect or maybe even 100% accuracy(cuz idk how they are able to get all the info etc). So the legitimacy is there...IT HAS LEGIT STATISTICS!!!!

To all abang and kakak out there, I really need your guidance on the 8 choices of UPU registration

Oh forgot to mention this:

I'm considering putting Accountancy/Finance course for UPU registration too(I have an interest in business too but still Sci>Business)
Or
Civil/Mech Eng in private unis(to be precise, the affordable ones like UTAR?)

At the crossroads...

This year gonna complete my Pre-U d...Dunno which path to take...Accounting or Comp. Sci/Software Eng?

My interest lies in going for a CS/SE degree, but...

My parents encourage me to go for an Accounting degree instead. Here's why:

From their perspective on why go for an Accounting degree is a better choice...

1) Graduates with a CS/SE degree earn lesser than graduates with an Accounting degree (not specify on the entry level salary but the career as a whole)
2) Working in the IT industry is not good for the time being, cuz so many people are enrolling CS/SE course now so the competition will be a intense one...
3) Working as a Comp Scientist/Software Engineer, you have to keep up to date with technology, learn new computer languages...a stressful life when you reach at the age of 40-50

After listening to what my parents said makes me a little bit scared, who doesn't want to have a stable life right? So I went on a quest to found out everything I need to know about CS/SE from forums...and I found Quora.com. Good website, shud go and check it out. Here's what I found from the website so far:

1) Working as a Comp Scientist/Software Engineer, keep up to date with technology and learning a new computer language is basically not a difficult one...
2) CS/SE is wide, really really wide. So lack of job opportunities will be not a CS/SE's concern....
3) Many users in Quora working as a software engineer (some work in Apple, Google, Microsoft, Uber, and many more, you name it.) say they have a pretty stable life....sometimes have to stay up late when there's project to do.

What is contradicting now is I want to do something that I like but at the same time I do not want to upset my parents while doing it...

So...what is the next step should I take?
