Zellige tiles malaysia

Hi There,

I am renovating my house and finding some tiles. There seem to be a trend on Zellige tiles. Tried to google to source the tiles but unsuccessful. Anyone have experience getting and using Zellige tiles in Malaysia? I find there is some spanish handmade tiles looks similar to Zellige tiles. Any other look alike that can be recommended?

https://www.hunker.com/13765237/zellige-tile-bathroom-ideas

Thanks.

Vios 2023 or Proton S50

I am in the market for a new sedan less than 100k. The new vios 2023 and S50 will be coming out in 2023 in Malaysia.

S50 looks bigger and should be priced slightly cheaper than Vios. But I worry the reliability and parts availability after hearing all the horror stories of x50 /X70. Vios to me is a safer option and I fancy the design although not a lot of people like it. Both interiors and features are equally excellent for me.

What do you think?

Would you date a rich girl?

I've been searching for awhile ever since my disastrous breakup. Nothing seems to really go through the next stage bf/gf. Maybe I am picky but I aim for the long run.

Recently I met this girl through a dating app. We are both 30 and got to know each other more. We really clicked, have very similar values, and getting closer. But her family is quite wealthy while I am average e.g. Mercedes and Myvi. That being said, she does not really flaunt her wealth and she has rather a simple lifestyle.

What do you think? Would you proceed to be in relationship and why? I would also like to know if anyone in LYN have experience of similar situation. Male and female opinions are welcome!

Ertiga Middle Seatbelt

Good Day experts of all walks of life,

I am intrigued with Ertiga, but I read that it is a 6 seater rather than 7 seater because the middle row of does not have middle seat belt.

Now my question, is it possible to add middle seat belt (legally) and hence become a 7 seater? Thanks.

Advise me on Monthly Budget

Hi All Sifu's, Guru, Dato, Datin,

For those who are celebrating, Happy Chinese New Year!

I believe most if not all of you are knowledgeable in your own personal finance. By now most of you have already been there and done that. Therefore, I would like to get some outside opinion on how I am managing my budget. Please don't be too harsh on me.

To begin with, I am currently working as a young professional earning a humble RM 4850 / month. After the EPF and Tax deduction, It would leave me roughly RM 4100+. Currently staying with my parents and working at KL city centre.

I drive a 10 years old Myvi (parent's) to work daily. This means I do not pay car loan for now. But I would really like to own my own car some day so that I become less parasitic. The car choice, I am leaving it open for now.

Single male but not available. That being said, I recently purchased a cheap condo that will be finishing by end of 2018.

I do invest in UT, ASM, and various shares. For now I can only gauge the return about roughly 6% annually. No thanks to UT.

So here is my budget in 2016.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Monthly Commitment
PTPTN payment - RM 230
House Interest - RM 250
Insurance - RM 250
Gym membership - RM 100
Total = RM 830

Monthly Needs
Weekdays Food - RM 15/day x 22 = RM330
Weekends Food - RM 50/day x 8 = RM400
Car Petrol - RM 50/week x 4 = RM 200
Car Park - RM 10/day x 22 = RM 220
Haircut - RM 17
Mobile phone - RM 0 (company subsidize)
Parents' allowance - RM 300
Total = RM 1467

Monthly Funds
Social - RM 300 (for dates and yum cha)
Investment - RM 300
Education - RM 200 (buying books and courses)
Travel - RM 300 (For yearly travelling use)
Saving - RM 400
Emergency - RM 200
Monthly Fund Total - RM 1700

Grand total usage - RM 3997

The above serves as my guide for 2016. It means, although I have allocated RM 200 monthly for education expenses, I did not really use RM 2400 in a year. I find that I usually under utilize my social fund, education fund and investment fund. All those would go to my saving.

Now here is the challenge. In 2018 - I will be expecting to pay House Loan RM 1500 monthly and maintenance fee roughly RM 250. Regardless of my salary increase and bonus, I would like to keep my monthly budget around 4k ish. That being said, I would like to budget cut my expenses at least half. Will end my gym membership in late 2017 according to my contract.

Let me know your opinions.

Need help to review/advise my salary in OnG

Hello All Sifu, Masters and Tuan.

I need you advise on my career and salary. A little bit of myself:

Current Company: Oil and Gas in Malaysia (upstream)
Current Salary: RM 4500 - RM5000
Past Work experience: 2 years (in consultancy company)
Current Job: Graduate Safety / HSE Engineer.

1st question: Is my salary underpaid, over paid or just nice? Because, it seems that I have been hearing that my salary is a little under paid. Comparing to Petronas and Shell for Graduate, I think I am a little bit lesser? But nothing I can do about it now.

2nd question: I have been working in the company for 1 year and I have 1 more year to go before the contract ends. There is potential for me to continue in the company. However with the current Oil price, I am just wondering what will be the salary bracket/range I would be able to negotiate for. With 2 years in consultancy and 2 years in upstream side, what is the prospect I am looking into.

Please advise
