Hi,

My phone got many issues and I need to change the phone immediately.
I like big phone.

Previously already plan to go for Note8 but my friend working in phone shop said heard a lot of complain that Samsung phone is lagging.
iPhone performance is good but the photo taken is not that beautiful and I a bit do not like the iCloud and iTunes that force Apple users stick to all their product.

I also like to take video and slow motion function is very important, means I prefer phone camera can take 240fps video for at least 10-20secs.

I'm not sure is my phone can wait till Note9 coming to Malaysia.

What do you guys think?

Sole Proprietorship or Single Director Company

Hi,

For an sole proprietorship enterprise with revenue around 300k and profit around 80% (services provider, not material cost so higher margin), is it better to convert it to single director company for tax saving purposes?
For sole proprietorship, the tax bracket is follow personal tax and there is limited tax deduction on expenses compared with company.

A company tax for revenue < 500k is 20% (or 19% for these few years?), more flexible deduction on some expenses i.e. car and related expenses, more flexible arrangement on director fee, salary, etc. However need to pay audit, secretary, account, etc, higher SSM fee and much higher first time registration fee.

Anyone did compared this before and doesn't mind to share?

Thanks for helping and advice

Laptop suitable for engineering design work?

Dear All,

I plan to buy a laptop for work but not sure which one to choose, could you all give a suggestion?

I'm not a gamer, but I will need to use the laptop for engineering software i.e. StaadPro, Autocad drawings, ANSYS, SACS, USFOS and may be SolidWork sometime. Initially I'm thinking to buy a desktop + a laptop, however after think about licensing issue and also file transfer problem it will be better if I keep all the files in one laptop. The preferably screen size would be 14" and above since it's a bit hard to work on small screen for the modelling.

Thank you.

Take out cash fr home loan b4 rent it out

Dear All,

I have a house that previously let my parents and other relatives stay. I refinanced the house back to 2013 with a flexi home loan. To save the interest, I put in all of my cash in that home loan account.

Recently, my parents and relatives decided to go back to stay at home town. So, I'm thinking to rent the house. However, it will be disadvantage on tax for me if I keep the cash in the home loan account. Could I take out all my cash in that home loan account, then only rent it out, so that I could deduct the interest from the homeloan account when I prepare for tax filing? Since those cash are actually my salary not related to the house and home loan.

Thank you for your advice.

Sole Proprietary or Partnership

Dear All,

My previous boss gave me VSS last year and this year going to get me back as contractor, where I need to register my own business. This is to avoid legal issue from employment act.

I'm planning to get my dad who is a retiree without any income as partner of the new business. However, he will not have any contribution to the company but only share the income of the company. Is this legally acceptable? Would LHDN/IRB raise a lot of question on this?

Would it be better in term of law if I form a Sdn Bhd and get him as director?

Thanks for the help and opinions!

Will Writing, which Will Writer/banks to choose

Hi,

I'm looking around in my banking website and suddenly see the Online Will Writing service is available.
After I google önline will writing Malaysia", I saw quite a lot of banks and website that provide online Will writing service.

Anyone know what's the different between banks, online will writer service and will writer service provider like "R**kwill" that used to be call almost everyone?

The fees are quite different from around RM10-RM50 to few hundred ringgit. I think some of the cheapest service might be just let you fill the information into a format that accepted by court and regulations. That is sufficient in case you are giving correct information and nothing go wrong.

So, anyone know what banks and some other service provider charging few hundred ringgit? What are the additional services they are giving?

Thank for helps in advance.

Is it ok to charge phone with 3.1A car charger?

Hi, I just bought a 3.1A usb car charger to charge my phone in car. It works fine so far and charge really fast with 3.1A capacity especially for my note3 that normally charged with 2.1A original charger.

However, I'm a bit worry would this high ampere destroy my battery or my phone? especially I also have other phone only using 1.0A original charger?

Any taikor or taiche could help to clarify this?
