How to Cancel Celcom Postpaid Through Celcom App?

I left the country but forgot to cancel my postpaid. I can’t use the call centre as from overseas it’s kinda pricy. I have the app still on my phone but there doesn’t seem to be an option to terminate.

How to Keep My Number when i go overseas

Hi guys,

I need to go overseas for work. Won't be back for more than 1 year. I want to keep my phone number active.

Currently using Celcom postpaid RM50 per month. This is quite a lot to just throw away while Im gone. Can anyone recommend a way to keep the phone number through cheaper method? I don't mind paying lump sum to keep active.

Last time when I went away to study, Celcom closed my old phone number of 8++ years using cause inactive.

Mainly install CCTV infront of house and at back of house. So just two for now. Anyone can recommend contractor who can come and install? Not looking for top tier price. Just the basics is enough.

wanted to get an iPad 8th gen. I notice in US some places like Walmart/Amazon you buy the iPad for slightly cheaper than the US Apple Store?

Is there any place to get it cheaper in Malaysia?

Also, I have firm decision to get this model. Should I just buy it online or still go to physical store?

Passport Renewals Not Open?

Hi all,

I need to fly out of Malaysia for work related reasons by Late August 2021.

My passport expires End December 2021.

I tried to make appointment at sto.imi.go.my but I cannot get an appointment date booked. It is fully booked up until September so I feel there is something wrong with the site.

Does anyone have any experience renewing passport in the last month/few weeks?

Need advice on patching brick wall

Hi, as the title says my wall behind my garden is starting to have spots where the cement has fallen off. Over time, the bricks in the wall have begun to erode.

I was thinking of just putting some cement and chicken wire. The depth of the erosion is about 4 cm at max. The thickness of the wall is about 20cm. I can't rebuild it or anything I can only afford to patch it up.

Buying a Used Car still under Loan...

Hi everyone,

I am looking to buy this car from a private owner. The car still under loan and owner has 1 year of payment left. He mentioned it is a hire purchase loan.

He is willing to pay off the loan before selling the car to me as requested.

However, he is worried once pay off his loan I may not go through with buying the car.

I also plan to take out a loan to finance this second hand car.

Can anyone recommend what is the best plan that is secure for me and this owner. I am fresh grad and not so clear on these things.

My main concern is that in the link it says 50Hz refresh rate. I read in a lot of places the normal refresh rate should be 60Hz.

Will 50Hz affect the viewing experience?

Sourcing for TV motherboard to DIY repair

Hi All,

Our family's LG TV has started to give problem.

Problem=Screen flashing, turning on and off by itself, colour shaded pink etc.

I suspect it is problem with the motherboard or TV CPU.

Anyone can recommend where to get replacement motherboards for this kind of situation?

(I will only begin search after MCO is lifted, no rush).

Advice on getting a car

I am fresh grad with secured job (approx. 3k/month) in August.
I would like to get a car for this job.

However, I would like to emigrate to boost my career experience in 2 years time (earliest).

Could someone please suggest a method where I can finance this car and be able to let go of it when I emigrate?

I am currently a university student who will be travelling around Europe this coming CNY holidays.

I am looking for a good, trusted travel insurance for a period of 23 days.

My main concern in getting travel insurance is in the case of missing flights and medical issues.

I have tried to add on a travel insurance with my airline but the option doesn't seem possible on the web page.

How to get customers for my tuition

I'm 19 y/o student who's proficient in English, Sciences, Math(straight A in SPM, AAB in CIE A levels) and I'm good at playing the guitar.

Now that I just finished my Pre-U course, I have lot of time and I'm trying to give tuition for the above things in the PJ area (I'm also considering working part time but I think can earn more giving tuition).

I'd just like any suggestions on how to market what I am doing effectively(and as cheap as possible, of course, since I'm just a student), so I can get students.
I'm welcome to any suggestions, like giving out leaflets or anything on social media. I have a few ideas I'm trying, but I'd like to know more so I can choose the best way.

I'd just like to know which is the best possible place to take the course in Malaysia

The 3 factors I am concerned about(sorted by level of importance) is:

1. How holistic is the course

2. Course Fees

3. How well-known is the university

Any help or comments is much appreciated

ASUS Product and Services SUCK

I am very disappointed at ASUS product and service. I recently bought an ASUS K501LX in August. This week in October I received warnings on my computer about low memory. I also got a blue screen. Take note, that this is only after 2 months of use.

I took the laptop to their Service Centre in Digital Mall on 26 October 2015. They said that there was a defective RAM. Why was I given a defective RAM in the first place? This worsened the performance as my laptop now took very long to boot and lagged even more. I took it again to the Centre, and they asked me to reformat my C drive. They made me wait 2 hours and after that they expected me to leave and I had to keep asking to recheck to see whether the laptop was fixed. Once again, the problem became worse, and I could not even enter Windows.

So for a third day, I had to go to their Centre. They took a look for a few seconds and told me need to send back to factory for repair. Their Service Centre people seem to not know what they are doing with my laptop as they are changing different things and it does not seem to help the situation. They seem to think the customer has all the time in the world, to go back and forth to the Service Centre like I did for 3 days in a row.

This is how they treat customers who buy your product.

I made a simple request to be given a new unit. I think it is justified, which company produces expensive laptops that show problems after just 2 months from purchase? Their laptop is supposed to last a few years but now after 2 months already there are major problems. This is a shame that ASUS provides products like this and yet do not seem to bother to make up for it. When I contacted their Support Centre an employee named Yogesh accepted my call, gave me a case number and told me my case would be accelerated. He also said he will get back to me in 1-3 days. The next day I called again, an Employee called Vicki answered and said that the previous Yogesh person could not be found. Vicki then told me that he will get back to me in a week.

Why IS ASUS not helping me in my situation? Seeing how the company has treated me, I will not be buying anymore ASUS products and will not recommend them to anyone.

I am filing a complaint with the Consumer Ministry on their product.
