Guitar parts and electronics

muso.greg — Sun, 25 Oct 2015 19:15:13 +0800

Is there a place to buy things like capacitors, electrical wire and tools like a soldering iron. I do my own guitar mods and repairs, and I have all of things I need at home in Australia but I keep finding I want to do some mods here and I need the bits to do it.

Alternatively, is there someone who does it already and would share some work space with me occasionally?

charts and technology

I'm new to Malaysia (who would have thought it!? ) and I'm wondering if the use of an IPad on stage for set lists and Music Charts is common here? I've seen "name" bands here with them, but what does the average local musician use? Do you need it? How do you do it? What apps/software do you use? How does it work out? Where do you display it?

Thanks

Use this template for (Musicians Hunters):

1) looking for: people who are happy to jam on classic rock, blues, pop, light jazz etc 50s, 60s, 70s, to now
2) instrument: I play guitar and I have an electric guitar and amp. I can play bass and acoustic as well, but I don't have those instruments with me
3) influences/preferences: Beatles, CCR, Clapton, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, all the usual suspects
4) location: KLCC
5) my requirements: I don't have a car so I need to be able to get around by taxi or LRT
6) Add info: I can sing a little but I prefer to pay guitar and do backing vocals. I am like most kinds of music (not metal and Rap). I'm an expat here for a couple of years with a semi pro music background, but really just looking for people to jam with in a relaxed atmosphere.
