Goods and Services Tax (GST) is actually a great system to prevent tax fraud. IMO should just reduce it and make it more efficient(tax refund) instead of the need to revamp the whole system again.

The buyer paid 5% deposit on a 10 years old car. He also said will pay 25% tomorrow.

After 30% paid he wants to retouch the paint of the car by sending to a workshop.
After all done nicely only go to JPJ together and transfer the name, pay 70%.

Possible scam- 25% using cheque and get bounced back.
- refused to pay the balance and stole away the car at the workshop (workshop he knows)

I'm a seller. Would you proceed to sell the car if you were me?

Deposit with Poslaju account rm1k

Hi guys,

I have a contract account with poslaju. The last time I opened an account with them I deposited rm1000 as required. It has been 1 year that payment are made on time and my company is registered for 2 and half years. They said that deposit can only return upon closing of the account. What if I close the account 15 years later, that rm1000 worth nothing.

P/s:- Some logistics company which is poslaju's rivals do not need any deposit to open an account and use the term payment. The rm1000 charge by poslaju used to be rm500 only last time. But they increased twice the amount to rm1,000 for new customers who wanna open an account with them.

Flat vs reducing balance interest for car loan

Why Banks use simple interest in hire purchase loan instead of reducing balance interest like mortgage/ credit card?

E.g.3%HP loan is actually more costly than 4.6% of a Mortgage loan.

FYI, flat interest rates range from 1.7-1.9x more when converted into the Effective Interest Rate equivalent.

My guess is due to a shorter period in HP loan.
