Problems with Linksys WAG200G config

Broadband provider
ISP/package: TMNet 1mbps
Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Yes

Personal equipment
Modem: Linksys WAG200G
Router: Linksys WAG200G

Problem details
First occurence of problem: 27th Oct 2008
Problem description: Unable to detect internet connectivity

I've just purchased a Linksys WAG200G wifi router to replace my old D-Link DSLG604T and I have been having problems while attempting to configure it. I've followed the instructions provided in the CD's setup but received this error: "The DSL settings (VPI/VCI and/or Multiplexing: LLC/VC may be incorrect. Check your settings. If the error persists, contact your ISP."

My settings are as follows:

Encapsulation: PPPoE
VPI/VCI: 0/35
Multiplexing: LLC
DSL Username: xxxx@streamyx
DSL password: xxxx

I have tried switching the settings around (Multiplexing from LLC to VC and swapping the VPI/VCI numbers) but that error still pops up. Any ideas? All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Incidentally, the Internet LED is constantly red. I thought it might be my line wonking out at first but I've swapped back to the old D-Link router and it's working perfectly.

Graphics card malfunction?

I have recently encountered that all-too famous nv4_disp infinite loop error message which seems to have plagued many users. The BSOD error message that I received is as follows :

A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

The problem seems to be caused by the following file: nv4_disp

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly.

Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates

Technical Information
*** STOP: 0x000000EA (0x81A10A00, 0x82208008, 0x81A1CAD8, 0x00000001)

nv4_disp
Beginning dumb of physical memory.
Physical memory dumb complete.
Contact system administrator or technical support group for further assistance.

Subsequently, I googled the problem and found a number of solutions. As per the most commonly adviced solution, I deleted my GC drivers and reinstalled the latest drivers that I downloaded off Nvidia's website. It completely fixed the infinite loop problem I had but unfortunately, it decided to leave me with a completely new one.

After reinstalling the new drivers, I've found that I am unable to run any program which might be remotely graphic-intensive eg. games like WoW, Everquest 2 and even Diablo 1! I could not watch any video clips as my entire computer starts to lag before locking up completely the minute I load up my media player. This usually results in me having to reboot my system.

My specs are as follows:

Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHz
Phoenix AwardBIOS v6.00PG
1GB Ram
nVidia GeForce 6600 GT

DirectX 9.0c

Graphics card driver version 93.71

Would appreciate any help as this is slowly driving me nuts!

Seeking a new guild

I have been a WoW player since launch and prior to this, I have been playing primarily on the US servers. But now that I've moved back to Malaysia, I am looking to reroll on an Oceanic server as I am hoping to join a guild with predominantly Malaysian players.

I will be rerolling a new toon on the server and would not mind rolling a class that would be beneficial to the guild (preferably a Horde guild as all my other characters are alliance).

Feel free to PM me. It's lonely playing by myself
