Profile :

Mr. Win Yin
Age 47
Current salary : Rm40,000 with commitments RM20k all to be settled by age 50.

Have calculated projected retirement value at age 50 to be RM7 mil

Current Epf: RM 4 Million

Current investment in ASNB : RM 1.5 Million

Mr Win Yin currently has a passive income generation from Epf and ASNB (5%) projected RM22,000 per month

A proposal is made he can retire comfortably at age 50 as his total funds will increase RM7 Mil - [projected] with his current salary epf contributions and compounding effect from current funds.

Take note: Other assets not taken consideration and treated as bonus income

At age 50, RM 7,000,000

Projected monthly passive RM 29,000

Is this the best time to retire - at age 50 for Mr Win Yin?

been reading a lot recently about retirement

if one has 3 million giving 5% interest, can retire comfortably?

Rm12500 to spend monthly without touching principle and no loans

normal lifestyle... food expenses max 1.5k per month for family- all home food

mid 40 ies- bad stamina and lazy a lot

zero exercise..... fell so lazy even going out.....no malls and soon.....

its normal after hitting mids 40? wonder how will be when hit 50 +.....

how can an engineer earning 10K afford this? how can other lower earning b40 afford this?

All seven passengers aboard a plane, including Tarzan actor Joe Lara and his diet guru wife, are presumed dead after it crashed in a lake near the US city of Nashville, authorities said.

The small business jet crashed at around 11:00 am local time on Saturday, shortly after taking off from the Smyrna, Tennessee airport for Palm Beach, Florida, Rutherford County Fire & Rescue (RCFR) said on Facebook.

The plane went down into Percy Priest Lake, about 12 miles (19 kilometers) south of Nashville.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed seven people had been aboard the plane, CNN

By Saturday night, operations had switched from search and rescue to recovery efforts, RCFR incident commander Captain Joshua Sanders told a press conference.

"We are no longer in an attempt to (look) for live victims at this point so we're now recovering as much as we can from the crash site," he said.

On Sunday afternoon, RCFR said on Facebook that recovery operations had found "several components of the aircraft as well as human remains" in a debris field about half a mile wide.

Operations would continue until dark and resume Monday morning, RCFR wrote.

Lara played Tarzan in the 1989 television movie "Tarzan in Manhattan." He later starred in the television series "Tarzan: The Epic Adventures," which ran from 1996-1997.

Engineeer in ***** only rm10k and some way below
But some engineer in BR*****m can earn 13K

Gerakan man woos the people

MEDICAL practitioner Dr Kiew Hen Chong is ready to serve voters in Batu Uban on Penang island if he is chosen by Gerakan to stand as a candidate in the next general election.

He runs a clinic in Krystal Point in Batu Uban and although he is the party’s coordinator in the constituency, said it did not mean he would be picked as a candidate.

“I want to serve the people better and that is why I took on the responsibility of a coordinator,” said Dr Kiew after he and Penang Gerakan vice-chairman Oh Tong Keong had distributed some 400 calendars to traders and market-goers at the market near Taman Lip Sin recently.

Dr Kiew, 48, who is Bayan Baru division vice-chairman and Taman Pekaka branch chairman, joined the party about 12 years ago.

“I formed the Sungai Dua community policing unit in 2011 to combat crime in the area,” he said.

Dr Kiew and Oh urged the Penang Island City Council to identify a suitable place for a new wet market in Batu Uban.

Oh said the privately owned market near Taman Lip Sin was overcrowded and there was a lack of parking space.

“The new market should be equipped with facilities like a community hall and hawkers’ centre,” he said.

A trader, who wanted to be known only as Gan, said he and his family had been trading at the market since it was opened in 2000.

“We are willing to move to another market in Batu Uban if the council decides to build a new one,” he said.
