How Much Notice Period Should I Give?

Hi All,

Basically the current company that i am working with gave me a 3 month probation period but i am still here because they still want to keep me to evaluate me.

But i had recently receive a new offer with a new company and they want me to join them at the start of October

I am planning to submit my resignation letter today or tomorrow.

Do i require to give any notice period or say my last day will be on the 27th this month?

Hi everyone.

I would like to some advice on my little dilemma. I recently joined this company for about 3 and half months. And in the contract and verbally it was stated that my probation period would be 3 months. It has been a little over 3 months and on my last day of probationary period. I had to remind my hiring manager about it.

So I did my assessment/evaluation form and had initial feedback from my senior manager that I thought too highly of myself. Which is surprising as I thought I was being honest. I had a full review with the top management a few day later and well got shot at. The company is rather small, it is about 20-30 full time and temporary staff. I had a 2 hour grilling and reviewing session and at the end result, in all honestly they were giving me a life-line as I did not meet their current expectations. I did feel the same way so I wanted to prove my worth. They are only keeping me so far because they like my attitude and they think that I am trustworthy. Flattering to say the least.

So everything is geared up to this crunch month of August. And after that I am still uncertain that I will be working for the company because of this big uncertain decision whether they will be confirming me or not. After that full review I had bucked up. Performed to the best of my capabilities but still I feel that I have not met any of their expectations.

Right now I do not have a current back up plan. Although I was recently approached by a big company for consideration. Which has led to another uncertain dilemma as I would not know whether I would get that job.

Hi Guys and Girls

I'm looking for a forum board or blog (besides lowyat) where people would post their own or other people event details specifically for promotions or just overall know what sort of events that are ongoing around Malaysia or around the world.

It could also be webinar based as well. I have tried to snoop around google but to no avail. Anyone care to enlighten me? I am not looking to promote but just looking into what sort of events/conferences that are ongoing that may be of interest.
