Loan interest 4.4% vs FD 4.38%

Hi all,

Recently I purchased an under construction landed property and it will only complete by next year September, the loan that i sign with MBB is 4.4% with condition I can't withdraw during construction period.
So lets say if i have 50k now, would it be better if i sign FD with MbB with effective rate of 4.38% for 8 months?
Though i might lose 0.02% but will this be a better choice? Since emergency still can withdraw by losing the accumulated interest only.
Please advise me.

Renovations Procedure (From head to toe)

Hey Guys,

Recently i entered the second stage of my life as i finally purchased my first dream house after 1 year of working and hardcore saving with my girlfriend. P/S: i am 23.

My house will be ready around 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2017, 2 years from now. I bought a 2.5 storey terrace house and now i am starting to think on how to renovate my house. However, i have 0 experience when comes to renovation, i have some ideas in mind but dont know how to start.

Anyone mind sharing after vp, what renovation should we start first? Meaning fix the light first, or do the paintings first, extension first, etc..stage by stage. I am really noob in this. Hopefully someone could provide good advice here.

I believe many people will also stuck in this position. So hopefully by opening this thread can help to provide the basic renovation knowledge to all, if not then at least to me.

Appreciate all your sharings.
