EPF as an alternative investment

Hello there,

I’m currently 23 years old and I have a full time job for a year already with some side hustle which gave me quite a sum of money every month.

Every month I have consistently investing into stocks, FD, ASM, crypto. But lately I realised EPF dividend performance is a lot better compared to most investment which brings me to the idea of self-contribution.

Can anybody enlighten me how the dividend is calculated? I wouldn’t mind contributing 2k every month as self contribution but I hope the rate of dividend isn’t the same as FD otherwise I would rather put the funds in FD which provides me huge liquidity advantage.

Anybody having the same thoughts as me ?

Using Parents’ EPF

Let just say I have a stack of cash waiting to be investing and I see EPF as a safe haven to protect my funds.

I’m aware that EPF would need the person to be in retirement age only can withdraw the funds out

I was thinking to put my cash inside my parents EPF (since they already over 55) as self contribution. It provides liquidity since they can withdraw it anytime for me since they are above 55

Is it possible to do such thing ?

Currently I'm a fresh graduate working in an M&C company that deducts a portion of my salary for income tax purpose. Before I joined this company, I was working as a sales agent for a company during my university and still doing it currently. Buying new car

Both car are about the same price now with harrier need to add about 10k extra. Which car is a better buy? Really like Mazda exterior and interior but afraid of resell value. Harrier for me screams luxurious and high resell value but can’t utilize the tech fully since language is Japanese mygod

I believe its normal for couples to fight but I'm not sure if couple fight at the slightest of things.

My girlfriend is a very small gas person and known to be "small gas" type of person within her circle of friends.

Few months back, our relationship had a rough patch because I was constantly working part time(for our future of course) and she complaining I did not spend enough time with her. Somehow I am able to fix the problem and focus on giving her some attention.

Fast forward to few months, I am still doing the same thing, not looking at my phone when I'm talking to her, fetch her family members everywhere when they needed to get somewhere (my gf, her bro(still in high school) and her mom all don't drive), watch her favorite tv shows every night with her and fetch her home every week when my house is located about 40+km away from her house. I cut down some of my hobbies to be with her and I'm happy with it. Even when argument, I was almost always the one who just gave her a huge hugs and just forget about it. Most of her family members have huge temper problem, so I understand about it when she shouted at me whenever I made a mistake and never fight back.

As of today, we had a huge argument and it got me thinking. I need to be away for a few days so I figured I should spend some time with her before I'm away. So I picked her up from uni and head over to shopping complex since she love shopping. I mentioned a restaurant which i'm dying to eat since its my childhood food. Little did I know was the pricing, and it got her extremely mad. She mentioned she did not want to spend so much on a food (cost around 15-20) and she shouted at me in the restaurant and keep crying. I didn't know what to do and just kept quiet in the restaurant while people looking at me. She complained she was very tired that she woke up early in the morning for class and skipped lunch to rush her assignment and now I brought her to eat shitty and expensive food.

I was clueless when she said that..
In all outings, I never get to eat my favorite food for lunch and dinner and just eat what she likes. Money is never the problem as I can belanja her but she rejected and complained that I brought her to expensive restaurant without researching the menu. I dont understand why she was so mad about it when she can easily spend 40-50 ringgit for her make up stuff and not willingly to spend rm20 for a food that I would like to eat.

am I really a bad boyfriend?

Sorry for the huge ranting but I just feel sad when she said that I fucked up and that she will never trust my words anymore (for not researching the price of the food) and would rather stay at home than letting me bringing her out.

I opened a online gambling system where people are allowed to gamble in Facebook. So there's this person who owed me RM700 for a month. Asked him to pay back but keep giving excuses. Lastly he went and blocked me and not going to pay me back.

Since he sell things online I have no choice but to ask my friend for help and COD with him. The item he selling was rm900. So what I did was topping up RM250 and take the item. I knew asking up The RM700 directly from him wont be happen since he will give excuses even in face to face.

So right now he lodge a police report about me scamming him but never mentioned he owed me money. What do you think I should do?

Hi there, recently I have relationship that is on going for 1 year and approaching to 2 years. Everything went well before, I chase her for quite some time, she didn't bat an eye on me that time because she still have feelings with her best friend for more than 6 years but I continue to win her heart until I really made it. Things goes like heaven when I finally won her heart.

Our both parents accepted each other and really like us being together. But lately everything went south ways. I began moving with her this year and it was good for 1-2 months until when i found a part time job online where I constantly have to be on Facebook all the time to get sales. FYI I'm still a student and preparing to graduate next year as well and will be entering workforce pretty damn soon while she is still pretty young and haven't even reach degree level yet.

After hitting the 3rd month & fourth month, she began getting mad really easily when I put my focus on my part time job. My job is opening an online gambling business(illegal I know but this is not the main point) so I have to constantly be online and dragging customers in to earn some quick bucks. She doesn't mind if I'm doing this sort of business but what she mind was I didn't have her enough ATTENTION as before.

I may be wrong but isn't gf/wife should be supportive and encouraging on whatever her partner is focusing about and not to destroy it? At least I work hard to earn some money so I can make sure me and my gf won't be worried that there won't be a bowl of rice next day. She constantly never understand what I say but insist she doesn't mind it and prefer I giving her attention 24/7.

My gf is hot headed person, any slightest mistake I may get into scolding. I'm ok with that, I can take scolding pretty well since I usually treat it as they're singing. She could get mad even if I didn't listen to what she say or even make her wait alone. Heck, I was doing my business on my laptop while fetching her from university and my work hasn't done yet and she already gotten mad because I made her wait for 30 minutes in the car with me and not going anywhere else.

I'm sorry for the long ass rant, but I wish to know am I the wrong side here? I tried my best to balance my studies, business and girlfriend. I even don't have my ME TIME anymore to watch some quality YouTube videos because she doesn't like it if I'm watching and not entertaining her

Best friend ex gf

Ok the stories goes as my best friend exgf got super overly attached to my best friend. Best friend don't like that. Trying to think ways to dump her. But she is like superglue, keep sticking with him no matter what.

Fast forward to a year, my best friend went to Australia to further his studies. And his gf not gf still attached to him despite he went to Australia.

And soon for some odd reason me and his gf not gf(it's complicated) get close together because we always carpool together after our internship work.

Occasionally we will go watch some movie or dinner after internship just to chill a bit. Sooner or later she confess that she not into my best friend anymore. Things get a little weird after that when she decided to lay her head on my shoulder. Hug me tightly and slowly we kiss.

After a week, we had sex. But for some reason I feel really bad for my best friend after knowing he wants her back after she told him that she not into him anymore.
And I don't even know that she into me for love or lust because my best friend is out of the country. (Due to less sexual activity probably?)
Any advise on what my next move?
