Is it worth to get a Phd from India?

Hi,

I am interested to continue to do my Phd in India, since there is lack of expertise for my research interest in Malaysia.
I have found a recognized University over there which is willing to accept my research proposal. And it is relatively cheap. Now, my question is, if i complete my Phd from India, how will it be perceived by Malaysian employers/education community?. Will it be valuable?. Will it be worth for me?..As for your information, i wish to enter into the education line (lecturing) after completing my Phd. Please advice. Thanks.

Hi all,

I have obtained both my degree and masters from a reputed private uni in Malaysia. Now i would like to complete my Phd in India. The reason is because i have observed that Indian universities has my research interest which is in the field of Bio-Informatics and the fees is really affordable. But the problem is the universities (genuine brick and mortar) over there are recognized and accredited by their country but not by Malaysian government. If i still continue to pursue my Phd over there, will it affect my career/future in Malaysia. I was also understood that the recognition by Malaysian Government is only for securing a job in the public sector. Please advice. Thanks.
