Xbox One Game updates issue

So here is the story, I was planning to play my witcher 3 on my beloved xbox one but I knw there will be a massive update weighing around 7.2GB since I long time didnt play it. I inserted the disc, click update now and put my console to sleep as it was midnight and I plan to play directly next morning. I make sure all instant on option is picked, then i also make sure my xbox one fan still running after shutting it down. Next morning, boom! Update only at 1% !! MF i check the bandwith usage and it indeed had downloaded huge files overnight! Weird, i wonder where it went wrong? Any suggestion? I had to reinstall the whole game to re-update it
