when i play on pc using media player classic or powerdvd..
the subtitle move to one side...

Some brand has this setting...which is wirelessLAN manager

In the menu, can turn on full power to the wifi chip so can detect,receive,transmit signal at full strength and can also set to battery saving mode by decreasing the wifi strength

It has many wifi option to set.

My gigabyte pda just has a plain wifi menu only.Nothing else.

I know Windows Mobile comes with plain setting of the WIFI..and other manufacturer of PDA enhanced the menu by themself.So far my pda dont have those kind of setting.

Is there 3rd party software available?I searched for it but i cant get any.It's all Wifi scanner.IF there are,what is the name

Can any pda pro send me their WIFI .exe file in their ROM at windows folder?So i can modify it and patch it into my pda?

Hardware

General brand of PDA,PPC,Smart Phone :

O2 : Using Processor ;Intel Xscale, Texas Instrument OMAP, Samsung. Mostly equipped with 64 Mb of ram and 128 Rom and above.

Dopod/HTC: Using Processor ;Texas instrument OMAP, Samsung. Mostly equipped with 64 Mb of ram and 128 Rom and above.

Asus: Using Processor ;Texas instrument OMAP, Intel Xscale. Mostly equipped with 64 Mb of ram and 128 Rom and above.

Gigabyte : Using Processor ;Intel Xscale. Mostly equipped with 64 Mb of ram and 128 Rom and above.

You cannot judge a PDA from the rating of MHZ.More MHZ doesnt mean better and faster.The more MHZ you have,the faster the battery drain its power.New generation of Windows Mobile 6 is good at power saving.Good processor and program can lower clock speed depends on usage.

Difference between TI OMAP, Intel Xscale, Samsung Processor.

TI OMAP is alwasy half the power of intel and samsung processor.Mostly 200 MHZ and 250 MHZ.But this TI OMAP is dual core processor with built in graphic accelarator.It's a multimedia all in one processor.More to multimedia as this processor excel perfectly in music,games and graphic.

Intel Xscale is a processor from Intel with advance MMX..It's a powerful processor for business and application software.Works moderately in graphic department

Samsung is a famous powerful processor rated by MHZ.

Information is needed.This is what i know only.I need more information on which is the best processor for various applications.

What is ram?; NOR rom and NAND rom as several pda use NAND and NOR.Which is better?

To cut it short, NOR rom is better. The more ram in a pda is better,so u can run more program as typical PDA has only 64 meg ram and left 30 meg for application to run only.And the more rom a pda has is better. Ideally, 256 Ram with 512 NOR ram is the best but none of pda has it as it's expensive.

Screen of PDA

Typical pda screen size range from 2.4 inch to 2.8 inch and high end pda has 3.0 inch. Most of them equip with TFT 256 k color, 64 k or 16 bit.Most has 240*320 pixel.

What pixel is the best? The bigger the better.More pixel means can view more.High end pda with large screen 2.8 inch 16 bit 320*640 can view better in Internet explorer than 240*320 screen.

How you judge a good screen?
Set it to max brightness and look at top side and top bottom.Is the brightness generated by the LCD equal or uneven. Low spec LCD will has uneven brightness at some corner.

Camera

Most PDA has 2.0 and 2.1 Mp camera using CMOS sensor,mostly has limited macro setting too.But newer model of PDA is using 2 Mp autofous cam with comparable to Handphone autofocus quality.It's even better if it has a flashlight.

Speaker

Dont expect the pda speaker to perform like Sony Erricson Walkman Phone.As only high range PDA has stereo speaker.Most of the PDA has loud and good mono speaker which is good enough.It perform almost the same or better than common nokia speaker and louder.And plug it to a good earphone.It's all the same as it depends on the quality of the earphone.

Wifi and Bluetooth

PDA nowadays equip with wifi b+g and stereo 2.0 bluetooth ad2p.A pda that has only wifi b spec is slower than b+g spec as G is faster.

How to tell if my pda wifi is good in detecting signal?Tested and proven,The signal detection of a PDA wifi is better than a Nokia N80 wifi phone.But cannot be compare with computer wireless router.

USB
MId range pda stil use usb 1.0 and 1.1.Most using USB 2.0.Get A usb 2.0 PDA for faster file transfer.

Battery

Most pda battery using 900 mah and above.The more the better.The drawback is heavy.Expect for several hours usage if you keep using wifi and making phone calls all the time.Wifi draw much of battery power.

GPS
GPS is an added advantage in a PDA.High end PDA has GPS.The best if it's equip with SIRF 3 Chipset.OR you can get an external bluetooth GPS for Rm 300++

Phone usage
Upgrading from a handphone to PDA phone is a fuss.You will need more time to get use of it.Signal is almost the same on PDA phone as well.But still,a handphone signal will be better.Difference is minimal compare to PDA and it's not a problem.

Phone; 3G,3.5G,HSPDA
It will be added advantages for a pda.The more function the better hence more expensive.Depends on individual for prefered function in a PDA.

Keyboard,keypad or none
The best is to equip with a keyboard and keypad.It's easier to sms and dial a number and type.It's a fuss to use virtual keyboard in WM.

jz bought a gigabyte PPC i128 .Cant connect to maxis GPRS.

As i know.Almost all WM5 using the same setting.How to set?

And is it in WM5,we need different way to connect to WIFI?

Compare to nokia wifi,it autoscan for network and list out available network then u can choose what network to connect.
Why mine,cannot detect.Do i need to set something in order to connect to those wifi in coffee bean?

Why my Prescott 2.4A cannot run on dual channel?

im using 2 same spec blue geil value ram with heatsink
using prescott 533mhz 2.4A cpu and the mobo can support dual channel ram

when i put 2 ram together..
windows cannot boot and say got error
when i try just either 1 stick..
windows can run like normal

i notice when i run cpuz...the setting of the ram is different

1 is 2.5 3 3 5

another one is 2.5 3 3 7

and both same setting in bios

should i set the same manual timing

which is better?

3 3 5 or 3 3 7?

my silver waja WHY6108 just kena stolen outside my house at Jalan Genting Kelang,Setapak.

some tow man saw it ..now in police station...

all gone...left the engine....
