Deleted Apps from iTunes won't Remove it on iPhone

Hi all,

I'm using the latest iTunes 11.0.1.12 and syncing it with both my iPhone and iPad. In previous version of iTunes, when I deleted an app from my iTunes's library will also remove the app from my device the next time I sync. However, I have noticed recently that this isn't working anymore.

When I delete the app from my iTunes's library, it'll pops a message saying that the app will be removed from my devices the next time I sync. This isn't working as the app remain in my devices until I manually delete them from the device. Is there any settings I have missed or any solution for this?

Winsock Control Run-Time Error 40006

Hi gurus,

I have a server application that will receive messages from clients. An error (message below) occurred.

"Run-time error: 40006

Wrong protocol or connection state for the requested transaction or request."

Further study into this error, it is caused by its design. If SendData or GetData method triggered before the socket is actually been connected, this error will occur.

Any suggestion solution that can efficiently handle this problem and not disposing any message at all?

Solution that I found is to create milliseconds loop for checking if the state is connected before the method trigger. However, I'm afraid this could lead into performance issue.

Anyone that come across this situation care to share your solution?

Note: This is a server application and not client, therefore I'll not call for Winsock Connect but instead using Winsock ConnectionRequest.

Checkbox control HIDE or SHOW Drop-Down List

Greetings fellow codemasters from LYN

I need a little help here from fellow gurus and would be appreciating any input.

I'm trying to generate a list of checkbox and another list of drop-down list.

By using Javascript, I can control checking the checkbox will show the drop-down list, vice versa unchecking it will hide the drop-down list. But, so far I only managed to achieve if 1 checkbox VS 1 drop-down list.

How can I actually achieve this for a list of dynamic generated checkbox and drop-down box through loop?

I think there is a way to do it would be passing the ID of the checkbox to the javascript function and then will disable the drop-down box controlled by that ID, but still no luck in getting the actual working code.

Anyone could please share and help me here? Deeply appreciate your effort. Thank you

P/S: Enable and Disable will work as well. I'm generating the page with PHP and adding in javascript function.

Occasional Screen Freeze, Blank & Back to "Normal"

Hi fellow Lowyatians,

I just installed Windows 7 Professional x64 on my system and installed almost every possible 64-bit drivers that I can find, which includes:

P35: Installed latest Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility
GFX: HIS HD3870 Turbo (ATi CCC 9.12 x64)
Audio: Audigy 2 ZS (latest driver from Creative and disabled "Driver Enhancement" which caused me problem initially for playback)

Well, I think there is no other crucial drivers as my rig specifications in my sig.

The problem I having is, the screen will FREEZE for like 3~5 seconds while the sound still playing. I couldn't hit any button, it just doesn't give me any response. Even my LAN activity will be halted as I can see my modem stop blinking.

After the 3~5 seconds, the freeze screen will blink once and then it continue run like normal. Even my LAN activity will continue as in I'm downloading something in the background from the net. This problem happened to both my Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 and Left 4 Dead 2 game.

Wow, I found this in my event viewer now, previously I noticed nothing:

Anyone having this problem and managed to fix it? Would you please share your solution or perhaps anyone would like to share with me your piece of idea?

Formating USB Flash Drive with Virtual FloppyDrive

I have a 1GB PenDrive USB flash drive and it already pre-formatted or pre-installed with Virtual Floppy Drive. If I'm not mistaken, the software that making it work is USB Disk Pro.

May I know how to format my other USB flash drive with such Virtual Floppy Drive or it is already embedded within the firmware of the USB flash drive itself?

Can I use the Virtual Floppy Drive to install SATA drivers if I don't have floppy disk drive?

Once pre-formatted or pre-installed with such feature, can it be removed?

Installation Error with Visual Studio 6.0

I'm having difficulty installing Visual Studio 6.0 and its components on my PC. Everything will go fine until at the end of the installation, it will pop up that these 3 DLL files failed to register in the registry:

scrrun.dll
NLHtml.Dll
pdm.dll

Next, the message will indicate that Visual Studio failed to install and I can't use the REMOVE PROGRAM or UNINSTALL to remove it

The installation CD is working properly as some of my friends successfully installing it, but I just have no idea why it can't on my PC.

I'm currently running on Windows XP SP3 RTM. Any advise or guidance on installing it as I need to run the Visual Studio 6.0 and Visual C++ ASAP

I'm looking for a set of speaker stands which can be used for my Edifier R501 MKII's Rear Satellites. I read that Edifier's speaker stand already out of stock. Perhaps any recommendation on other speaker stands which can fit my purpose? If possible, please advise where I can get it as well the estimated pricing.

My budget is approximately RM150 ~ RM200 for the pair of speaker stand.

Printing "datagrid" from VB.Net

I'm using Visual Studio 2005 and created a website. In one of the particular form, I made a simple search from database and the result will be showed in datagrid view. I wanted to add a button so I can print the datagrid out. I searched over the Internet and failed to get this function running. Anyone care to help?

Event Viewer - Event 51 Error

I'm having this problem recently where my system hang or couldn't bootup properly after the system hang. It probably need a few retries or "rest" a while before it could bootup normally once again. A "rest" time like a delay of 15 to 30 minutes.

This morning, my system keep popping up message indicating;

QUOTE

"{Delayed Write Failed} Windows was unable to save all the data for the file . The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere."

All this messages seems to be pointed at my secondary harddisk which is the Samsung 120GB which I only using it for backup updates of my important files from my primary harddisk. I checked the Event Viewer and first time I'm seeing such a long Warning:-

I doesn't do any writing nor any reading from secondary harrdisk as it is only used for my backup updates. It wouldn't be touched if my primary harddisk is working flawlessly *touch wood*. I wonder what actually Windows been trying to write to the harddrive?

Any solution for my problem or this is indicating that the harddisk has reached its "time"?

Windows Hang and Reset Problem

Referring to my previous thread in Technical Support. I'm experiencing problems with Windows Bootup after a few days I installed a new Seagate 500GB 7200.11 32MB HDD. Initially I thought my new HDD is the culprit till at a stage where I'm not be able to install Windows into the C: partition where the setup shows "disk read error" after formatting the partition and copying the Windows installation files. Also I'm having problem deleting a few files on the HDD which said to be corrupted

I changed my Seagate 500GB 7200.11 32MB HDD with a new one (thanks for the kind shopkeeper to allow me to exchange even thou already two weeks I bought the drive). This time I installed in AHCI mode (SATA mode) instead of IDE mode for the SATA HDD which enables SATA feature such as NCQ and hot-swappable. Everything seems to be fine and smooth till I experienced twice system hang when I tried to open My Document while my IDM downloading some large files. The response lagging and then hangs at a stage.

First reset will reach the Windows loading screen like years and wouldn't boot.
Second reset will give option to select Safe Mode etc. and I select Safe Mode and it'll hang after loading all the necessary files.
Third reset will shows drive C: chkdsk and it shows no bad sector and only be able to boot into Windows.

Twice occurance also the same and I get this message on my Event Viewer:

I really doubt if my HDD fails me again . Could it be the RAM or motherboard ICH9R? Or just some corrupted application?
