where to buy large storage HDD

Hi sifus,

Can anyone recommend me any official or authorized sellers for large storage HDD? 16TB and above would be nice.

Where can we buy Seagate EXOS in Malaysia? I bought mine (16TB) previously from Lazada, but now I check on the official Seagate store, even they no longer sell EXOS.
I'd like to get it from authorised dealers / official store as I'm fairly certain at some point I will need the warranty service.
Had 3 D.O.A. (2x 16TB , 1x 18TB) based on my luck.

I don't mind getting Seagate again, because I personally had worse experiences with WD in terms of performance and warranty, at least I managed to get RMA from Seagate previously, and they offered me free (one time) data recovery (because it died 6 months after I got replacement for a D.O.A. unit, and I keep kacao them).

I am looking for AVR / power conditioner. Primarily for protection against brownouts and then surge. For my PC and equipments.

Don't really need backup battery, so I would appreciate if sifus just recommend me AVR / power conditioner, and not UPS.

I understand AVR & power conditioner basically do the same thing. But I'm still not very sure which is which, and which one I need.

Can sifus recommend which product and model to buy?

Extras : IF any sifu here is electrical engineer / related background, can you explain it to me in understandable details?

Recommend portrait/pivot monitor

I am looking for a 1080p monitor that can do portrait and landscape. Using this as a secondary monitor.

Monitor size should be 22-24 inch. 8bit colour will do.

Bezels although not so important, but I'd prefer it to be slim.

Budget is around RM700, but cheaper is more preferable.

No need built in speakers or any utility, just the monitor is ok.

Can any sifu here recommend me a few good choice? Thanks

I am looking for a way to DIY a portrait stand for my DELL s2340L , the monitor do not have a VESA mount.

Any DIY pro here to give me suggestions? Or what object to use to hold the monitor in portrait?

My main monitor is LG 29UM57 , side monitor is DELL S2340L.

I would like to use the 21:9 as landscape and the 16:9 as portrait.

S2340L have no portrait stand, what suggestions do you guys have for a stand?

Otherwise, what monitors with portrait standcan you suggest ? Quality should be at least on par with the DELL s2340L. Budget RM600+200.

I used to use googleDNS, however it seems ineffective today. anyone noticed it? Have Malaysia uped their game in internet censorship? Or it's just me being fckd by malware?

Today my father received a call from maxis, saying that they want to come to our house to change "adapter". As my father was busy and is not familiar with it, he did not ask for further clarification as to why do they want to change "adapter", and what is the "adapter" that they mean.

So, anyone here received similar calls? or have changed the "adapter" ?

I am currently using MPC-HC for video, and windows 10 groove music for audio.

I am looking for a video player that can actually playback my bluray videos in high quality, not compressed. I got several DTS HD MA 5.1 or even 7.1 videos that I'd like to enjoy .

But I'm not sure if MPC-HC will downsample them to low quality for playing .

Hopefully Sifus can recommend some good players.

How to make Youtube to buffer the whole video?

I am using maxis 10mbps , I still have problem enjoying 1080p60fps videos. It stops buffering about 15seconds ahead . Is there anyway to force youtube to buff the whole video?

Using Chrome , Windows 10 pro.

Edit: just 5 seconds ahead, not 15.

Worse of all is, when I try to pull it back to the start to watch the video smoothly, it lost all buffer.....
